2022 Midterms Are A ‘Must Win’ For Democrats
A former Republican lawmaker has issued a dire warning to America: the 2022 midterms are a MUST WIN for Democrats — or else, democracy will die a swift death!
Politics :
Kurt Bardella, a one-time member of the GOP who switched to the Democratic Party and became an advisor and strategist for the DNC, made the starting prediction during a recent appearance on The Dean Obeidallah Show. According to Bardella, the November 2022 midterms “really is our last stand,” and if Democrats don’t win it’s “pretty much the end” of democracy.
The political strategist believes voters should pay close attention to the Secretary of State contests in places like Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia. His theory is that whoever wins these races will have near-total and complete control over elections (in their states) and the eventual outcome of the votes for years to come.
“The reality of this election is that 60% of Americans will have an election-denier on their ballot,” Bardella said. “ We cannot allow our election system and the people who oversee and administer and control our elections to fall into the hands of the people who support the people that marched on our Capitol on January 6th.
“That’s why when I say democracy is on the ballot in 2024, I really mean that,” he added.
Bardella said he has watched Donald Trump and his wing of the GOP nominate specific candidates (who are sympathetic toward or full-fledged participants of the MAGA movement) in strategic states across the US. If these candidates win, their plan will be to do what the governor and secretary of state in Georgia refused to do for Trump in 2020 and basically “fix” elections according to his desired outcome.
Bardella’s explanation is frightening for the future of the USA:
Because imagine what 2024 will be like if the people that are running our elections believe in the Big Lie are willing to cast aside and stop counting votes so that their anointed one, Donald Trump, would just be declared the winner before we even finish the process. That’s really what we’re up against.
And in most states, the secretary of state is the one that controls how elections are administered. And when you think about the key states that will be swing states in 2024 — Pennsylvania, Ohio, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, etc. — we need to make sure that competent professionals committed to democracy are in charge of those elections. Their plan is to install these election deniers into office so that no matter what the voters the will of the voters is, they will try to install their Republican winner no matter what, which will set off a Constitutional crisis, the likes of which we’ve never seen, which will further undermine the American people’s trust in our electoral process.
And that right there is pretty much the end.
You know, we cannot allow that to happen. And the only thing standing in the way of that outcome is this midterm election like this. This is, this really is our last stand. And I don’t think most people really look at it from that vantage point, but it’s just the truth.
Republicans showed on the eve of January 6th, 147 of them went right back into that very chamber that was ransacked by these domestic terrorists and voted to oppose certifying a free and fair election. That’s what we’re up against and that’s what we have to defeat.

Dems: 2022 midterms are a MUST-WIN for democracy.
Hmmm. The former Repub lawmaker means well by issuing that dire warning but the glaring truth is – Neither party (Repub or Dem) actually represents the will of the majority of “We The People” And he knows it – but he’s desperately trying to save what’s left of Our fragil democracy! Here’s the deal – I’m a moderate-conservative Democrat but these days I feel like I have no political home because some of the craziness coming out of the Dem party today is just as crazy as some of the really bad isht we’ve watched in horror coming out of the Repub party, especially since Trump was elected president. Unfortunately, you can’t register as an “Independent” in my home-state. But digress. In short – I’ll vote “Dem”for the mid terms (in fact I’ve already done so via early voting). But I’ve grown almost as weary of the Democrat party as I have… Read more »
