After a multitude of safety delays, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner is (supposedly) finally ready to make its maiden voyage during a live webcast this morning. The world’s largest flying machine is a technological masterpiece, with an unprecedented state of the art cockpit, smooth wing technology, unmatched fuel efficiency, and more. Capable of traveling at a speed of Mach 0.85, it will carry 250 – 290 passengers on routes of 8,000 to 8,500 nautical miles.
