And THIS is one such occasion. His decision to bring "ALL" of the troops home, NOW, from Iraq is, IMO, motivated by POLITICS, pure and and simple. He (and his staff) KNOW that a good chunk of the voting population that EAGERLY supported his election in 2008 are disappointed in him now. NOT for lack of showing Class. Intelligence. Civility and Patience. In fact, he's shown ALL of that in spades. He's even shown grit_Backbone when it comes to foreign policy. But no such grit OR *Backbone* has been evident in his handling of our domestic/economic issues, and certainly NOT in his handling of the *Obstructionists* party otherwise known as the GOP.The President's NOT a "Prophet". I never expected him to part the Red Sea. I expected him to make good on his promise; To "fight the good fight." I expected effective Leadership in tackling the very issues he ran on; the #1 issue being the economy/JOBS. But he NEVER quite mustered the *Will* or Courage to do that. His attempts were half-hearted at best EXCEPT when it came to Wall Street and the BIG banks (then he was ALL.IN). And yet. I believe he'll most likely win re-election because: 1. He's taking pro-active steps to assure voters, that he finally "Gets.It." And…2: Even though A LOT of voters may be disappointed in in his overall first-term job performance, I believe many_if not MOST voters_look at ALL the GOP candidates running and decide *We* ain't THAT disappointed!
