The truth is, I held off responding to any of this yesterday because it was so incredibly hard for me to process just what it is that is happening here..let alone try to put my feelings into words.
And please let us remember the 11 police-officers in Dallas who were ambushed last night while they monitored a Peaceful protest in downtown Dallas in response to the police-shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. Thus far, 5 of the officers have died.
Last night I had a hard time sleeping and frankly I'm still sick to my stomach and heartbroken about all this.
While many cops carry out their daily job duties commendably there can be no denying…there are more than a few really really bad cops in America who are as dangerous as any murderous psychopath..if not moreso because cops have the ultimate authority to shoot to kill. The law is on THEIR side.
We all know that…even when caught video and the evidence is as CLEAR as day…it is extremely hard to get charges brought against a Killer-cop and even harder to get a conviction. So (mostly) men who are in no way, shape or form fit to wear the badge in the first place are free to roam communities of Color and kill people of Color with impunity, protected from prosecution.
Then you have domestic vigilantes…also dangerous nutjobs…who decide to take the law into their own hands because more often than not the *Justice* system (particularly at the county and state levels) is shown to be extremely biased, inadequate and corrupt.
We are at a tipping point in America. If there isn't Change..Real change, from top to bottom, in the right direction, real soon, honestly, I fear what's to become of my country in the very near future.

Dallas PD is one of the few police departments in America recently applauded for actually having made so much progress in improving community-relations between that police force and the communities they serve. In fact, it's been reported that members of the police-force was actually posting pics of Peaceful protesters before the snipers begun shooting.
Also- The snipers could all be Black. But I won't be a bit surprised if it turns out they are (racially/ethnically) a mixed bag.

Obama On Shootings Of Alton Sterling And Philando Castile: We’ve Got A ‘Serious Problem’
“Rather than fall into a predictable pattern of division and political posturing, let’s reflect on what we can do better.”
Excerpt:
President. Barack Obama called the deaths of two black men who were killed by police officers this week “tragic” in a statement released Thursday.
.
“All Americans should be deeply troubled by the fatal shootings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minnesota,” he said in a Facebook post. “We’ve seen such tragedies far too many times, and our hearts go out to the families and communities who’ve suffered such a painful loss.”

Former {Repub} congressman promises ‘war,’ warns Obama to ‘watch out’ after Dallas shootings
Excerpts:
Following the killing of at least five police officers in Dallas overnight, a former one-term congressman from Illinois ignited a firestorm with a now-deleted tweet threatening President Obama with “war” and warning Black Lives Matter demonstrators to “watch out.”
“3 Dallas cops killed, 7 wounded,” former Rep. Joe Walsh, an Illinois Republican, wrote just before midnight, in a tweet that is no longer on his profile: “This is now war. Watch out Obama. Watch out black lives matter punks. Real America is coming after you.”
The reaction to the tweet was an immediate mix of shock and outrage, as Twitter users assailed Walsh for openly threatening the president and for the racially charged nature of the tweet.
Walsh’s deleted tweet was not the only one in which he took aim at Obama, blaming him directly for the deaths of the Dallas police officers. After deleting the tweet, Walsh returned to Twitter to respond to the accusations that he was trying to incite a race war. He blamed Obama and BLM protesters for the shootings.
Walsh: "I wasn't calling for violence, against Obama or anyone. Obama's words & BLM's deeds have gotten cops killed. Time for us to defend our cops."
In a Thursday speech on the shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, black men killed by police officers, delivered well before the Dallas shootings, Obama addressed the notion of anti-police sentiment that has come up in the protests against police killings of mostly black men.
“When people say Black Lives Matter, that doesn’t mean Blue Lives don’t matter,” he said. “It just means all lives matter. … This isn’t a matter of comparing the value of lives.” [….] WashPost

Update: "Dallas Shooting Suspect Told Police He Wanted To Kill White Cops, Acted Alone"
The suspect who launched an armed attack on police officers at the scene of a Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas told law enforcement officials that he was upset about the recent fatal police shootings of civilians and wanted to kill white cops, according to the police chief.
Though Mayor Mike Rawlings said at a Friday morning press conference that they would not yet release personal information about the suspect, Dallas Police Chief David Brown shared some remarks the individual made to authorities.
“The suspect said he was upset about Black Lives Matter,” Brown said. “He said he was upset about the recent police shootings. The suspect said he was upset at white people. The suspect stated he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers. The suspect stated he will eventually—that we'll eventually find the IEDs.”
The individual was killed by a police bomb deployed by a robot after extended negotiations with an official hostage negotiator during which he apparently conveyed his motives and intentions.
“The suspect stated he was not affiliated with any groups, and he stated that he did that alone,” Brown continued. “The suspect said other things that are part of this investigation, so that we can make sure that everyone associated with this tragic event is brought to justice.”
Brown and Rawlings said that the investigation was ongoing and they could not release more information on the individual or on how many suspects were involved in the shooting, which left five police officers dead, seven wounded, and also injured two civilians. […] TPM
