American History Whitewashed By White Women
Learning and honoring American history is a good thing — until you talk about the “bad parts.”
Racism :
That opinion regarding America’s story was uncovered by CNN’s W. Kamau Bell who spoke with several White women in Arizona about their thoughts on US history.
According to the women, teachers should not tell students that slavery was bad. When Bell asked one woman what should happen if somebody said Nazis were no good, the woman instantly cut him off and said “NOTHING is bad.”
Yet another woman was asked if we should teach the entire “history of America to our kids, including slavery, genocide, Native Americans, etc.”
“Not the whole thing,” the woman replied.

THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY!
OK WASSUP! discusses racism:
White women want to keep quiet about American history.
(My response after watching that video) I can’t…..
Sadly, that video tells you ALL you need to know about a certain percentage of White America. I call them the “35 percenters” aka “Know-Nothings” aka “the fearful and angry ones” aka “Trumpians.” I could on and on…but I’ll stop there.
Wish I could say I’m Shocked! Even surprised!
But I can’t…..
(On a side note)………
I must admit, Kamau Bell’s “United Shades of America” is one for the very few reasons I watch CNN at all. He has a way of getting people to let their guard down and talk freely about pretty much anything. And they show the world exactly who they are – good, bad, ugly, “not too bright.” Whatever.
They get so comfortable that their true nature usually comes through when talking with him and we learn a lot – or should I say – I learn a lot about people.
I think his wife is white. That must be how he gets white ladies to be comfortable with him.
Yep, his wife is white.
