Anal Cavity Police Brutality
Current Events
On January 2, 2013 David Eckert was leaving the parking lot of the local Wal-Mart in Deming, New Mexico. According to police, Eckert didn’t make a complete stop at a stop sign while exiting the parking lot and was immediately stopped by law enforcement.
When Eckert was asked to step out of his vehicle, police claimed he appeared to be clenching his buttocks, giving them (in their opinion) probable cause to suspect that he was hiding narcotics in his anal cavity. Officers detained Eckert and secured a search warrant from a judge to allow for an anal cavity search.
Current Events
Eckert was taken to the local hospital and the doctor on duty refused to conduct a search, calling it “unethical.” Police then transported him to a different medical facility, where a full search was conducted. While in police custody at the hospital, Eckert was subjected to repeated and humiliating forced medical procedures and, according to THE DAILY KOS here is what happened next:
1. Eckert’s abdominal area was x-rayed; no narcotics were found.
2. Doctors then performed an exam of Eckert’s anus with their fingers; no narcotics were found.
3. Doctors performed a second exam of Eckert’s anus with their fingers; no narcotics were found.
4. Doctors penetrated Eckert’s anus to insert an enema. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.
5. Doctors penetrated Eckert’s anus to insert an enema a second time. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.
6. Doctors penetrated Eckert’s anus to insert an enema a third time. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.
7. Doctors then x-rayed Eckert again; no narcotics were found.
8. Doctors prepared Eckert for surgery, sedated him, and then performed a colonoscopy where a scope with a camera was inserted into Eckert’s anus, rectum, colon, and large intestines. No narcotics were found.
Current Events
Throughout the entire ordeal, Eckert protested and never gave doctors consent to perform any of these medical procedures. And if that’s not enough, David Eckert has since been billed by the hospital for all the procedures they conducted on him without his consent. They’re even threatening to take him to collections if he doesn’t pay up.
Hard to believe this happened in America — the land of the free — but it did. Exactly when did police take their powers too far? This is a disturbing story that has called into question basic rights as an American. Watch the video below for more details:
This is more than a shame. I hope one thing happens he sues the po po and he sues the hospital and if he can, sue the doctors that were involved individually. The only way to make them pay is to hit their pockets. I hope he gets a good lawyer and don't setter for anything less than 50 million.
I hope this fool doesn't take this quietly. They have humiliated you, violated your rights, and put your health in danger. A colonoscopy is very dangerous. This procedure can kill you and have killed many. Sometimes it is immediate and sometimes it is months after. This procedure is done only when the persons health is in serious danger of possible cancer and to see if there is internal bleeding..
Don't take it dude. Your life expectancy has been possible shaved in half and they humiliated you for no reason.
