Anchor Don Lemon Gets Schooled On Slavery
CNN anchor Don Lemon was recently schooled into submissive silence regarding the issue of slavery.
Current Events :
During a recent segment discussing the death of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, the television personality asked British pundit Hilary Fordwich if the royal family owed reparations for slavery.
“Some people want to be paid back, and members of the public are wondering, ‘Why are we suffering when you are, you know, you [the royal family] have all of this vast wealth?’ Those are legitimate concerns,” Lemon questioned.
Her response was a surprise to many.
“Well, I think you’re right about reparations in terms of if people want it, though, what they need to do is you always need to go back to the beginning of a supply chain,” Fordwich responded. “Where was the beginning of the supply chain? That was in Africa, and when it crossed the entire world, when slavery was taking place, which was the first nation in the world that abolished slavery? The first nation world to abolish it, started by William Wilberforce, was the British. In Great Britain, they abolished slavery.
“Two thousand naval men died on the high seas trying to stop slavery. Why? Because the African kings were rounding up their own people, they had them in cages waiting on the beaches. No one was running into Africa to get them,” she continued. “And I think you’re totally right. If reparations need to be paid, we need to go right back to the beginning of that supply chain and say, ‘Who was rounding up their own people and having them handcuffed in cages?’ Absolutely. That’s where they should start.” She added, “And maybe, I don’t know, the descendants of those families where they died at the, in the high seas trying to stop the slavery, that those families should receive something too, I think, at the same time.”
Needless to say, anchor Don Lemon was just as shocked and silent as many who are just now learning this new information.

OK WASSUP! covers Current Events:
CNN anchor Don Lemon gets shocked by slavery question.
The sad truth is, Don Lemon is typical for what passes for a “news journalist” working in the American news media these days. Most of those people don’t seem to actaully know much (if anything at all) about any topic, least of all History – whether it be American history OR world history.
Gone are the days when Our news was presented by newscasters and journalists who actually knew something. They were knowlegeable and informed on a vast array of real world topics and certaily when it came to history.
People like Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, Peter Jennings, Tim Russert, Gwen Ifil. Just a few names on that incredible list.
Don Lemom got “schooled” by a British White woman on the issue of “Slavery” and “reparations” no less because Don Lemon doesn’t actaully know much.
