GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain has a huge problem: either he really can’t keep his hands to himself around women, or someone REALLY wants him out of the race for the White House.
After several women came forward in recent weeks to say Cain had inappropriate sexual contact with them, a new woman has surfaced, claiming to have had a multiple year and mutually consenting extra-marital affair with Cain. Hmmm…
Atlanta businesswoman Ginger White took to the airwaves last night to say that she engaged in a 13-year relationship with Cain, that only ended once he started running for president 8 months ago. The unemployed single mother acknowledged she was well aware Cain was married and that their relationship was “inappropriate.” But she called the affair “fun” since she needed something to excite her humdrum life. White is also ready to put her money where her mouth is, claiming to have proof of the affair including text messages sent late at night.
Cain’s attorney downplayed White’s accusations, arguing that this new information should be ignored since it allegedly happened between 2 consenting adults. In a statement, Lin Wood said: “This is not an accusation of harassment in the workplace – this is not an accusation of an assault – which are subject matters of legitimate inquiry to a political candidate. Rather, this appears to be an accusation of private, alleged consensual conduct between adults – a subject matter which is not a proper subject of inquiry by the media or the public.” But Herman Cain did not stick to his attorney’s strategy, choosing to appear on CNN and vehemently deny the woman’s charges, as he has done with all the previous women before.
Herman Cain became a surprise front-runner in the Republican race during October and early November. But sexual harassment charges from 3 other women caused his candidacy to basically implode, as he has steadily watched his poll numbers fall from grace. The former front-runner now trails in 3rd place behind Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney in the polls and may never return to the top of the heap. It is possible that Cain is being politically railroaded. But it is also possible that the novice politician entered the presidential race with some rather serious skeletons in his closet. Only time will tell, as the Cain camp scurries to spin these new allegations and weather the impending political storm.

I have to say that this woman's story (UNlike the other women who have gone public) seems more credible to me (the relationship was consensual) than the other women who have gone public with sexual harassment accusations against Cain. However, just like the other women who've gone public this woman also has a rather troubling history. I'm not suggesting she's lying about her affair with Cain. I'm simply noting the similar character *problems* of the types of women Cain seems to be um..*drawn* to. IMO, Cain was totally UNFIT to run for President (let alone be President), prior to any of these allegations coming to light.But, he is, IMO, no less fit than any of the other Repub charlatans, hypocrites, clowns and nutjobs running for President.His wife is the only person I have a bit of empathy for.
