ANTHONY “It’s Not My” WEINER
By now you’ve likely heard about the penis pic NY Congressman Anthony Weiner “supposedly” tweeted to a young female college student. But did he really tweet it? Is the picture really of him? Do you really care?
The media is all abuzz over the supposed pic of Weiner’s “weiner.” But Weiner has remained steadfast, even combative, that his Twitter account was hacked, that he does not know the college woman who received the pic, nor does she know him, and that he’d like to move on.
The brash Democratic congressman from New York is considered a rising star in his party, so the attention he has garnered from this lewd saga should come as no surprise. Except Weiner hasn’t necessarily made his innocence seem like a sure thing. In an odd impromptu television interview on Tuesday, the married Weiner would not say for certain whether the crotch photo sent to the Seattle co-ed was or was not of him, which naturally sent the media into overdrive.
Weiner has his eye on becoming mayor of New York City in 2013 and will need the press in his bid for Bloomberg’s job. So should he cooperate with the media now in their hunt for a smoking gun? Or is this truly a non-issue and overdone story that should not be receiving so much attention?
