BD your words are nearly the exact same words my own mother used when, as a teenager of 16 or 17 I put the question to her as to whether she believed there is other life out there.

The truth is, though a deeply religious woman, my mother was NOT a religious hardliner in any way, shape or form. She, and her father ( my "grandaddy") were the smartest and most fair-minded and caring people I was blessed to know and be raised under.

My mother, in particular, was very Open-minded when it came to lots of topics. She was secure in her faith. And she was just as secure in having her own mind. And she never failed to blow me away with her thoughts on Life (in this world and Other possible worlds). I miss her dearly.

In short, Mother believed that Life exists on other planets…and so do I.
