Arsenio Hall Is Back!
to Late Night TV
The Arsenio Hall Show was once a “not-to-be-missed” cutting-edge television event that ruled late night from 1989 to 1994. Now, nearly 20 years after leaving late night behind, Arsenio Hall is returning to TV.

As the former “king” of late night, Arsenio Hall helped launch the presidential candidacy of Bill Clinton by introducing him into the welcoming arms of an African-American and minority audience — an audience that helped elect him president. He also almost single-handily boosted hip-hop music and its artists by providing TV exposure that no other late night show could (or would) offer. Arsenio hopes to recreate the exact same magic with his new show.
The Arsenio Hall Show will premiere tonight on select CW and FOX stations. With Jay Leno, David Letterman, Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel already cemented in the late night line up, Hall says he’s ready to give it one more try.
“An ex-girlfriend always looks better to you than somebody new, because you don’t know somebody new,” Hall said of his late night return. “Late night TV is like the woman I miss. I know I love it. And I know I can do it.”

Prince, who never appears on late night talk shows, is already a scheduled guest with Arsenio. Other actors and artists who somehow don’t make other late night guest lists will also be invited to appear on the show as well. For Arsenio, he says he intends to pick up right where he left off.
