ASMR: Your Unexplained ‘Tingles’ Explained
Have you ever heard of ASMR? Do you know that you might have it?
Lifestyle
Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is what Zoe Kravitz was doing during one of last month’s Superbowl commercials. It’s that incredibly relaxing tingly feeling you get in the back of your head or neck when someone whispers, taps their nails lightly, or provides some other “trigger” that makes you feel oh sooo relaxed.
The phenomenon got its official name about a decade ago and is now represented by hundreds of YouTube videos that its users swear by and fall asleep to nightly. Think of how your mom used to read you to sleep when you were a kid, or the feeling of listening to Bob Ross videos and you’ll better understand what all the fuss is about.
Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response is a very real thing and is worth a look. Check out the video below with examples from some of the top ASMR YouTube artists and see if you get the “tingles” Zoe Kravitz told you about.
THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY!
