Barack H. Obama Inauguration 2013
The 44th President of the United States, Barack H. Obama, began his 2nd term in office yesterday with the traditional Inauguration ceremony, parade down Pennsylvania Ave. and a host of celebratory balls.
A number of highlights, including musical selections from the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce, as well as Michelle Obama’s fashionable style, helped to make the day an amazing and memorable occasion. The fact that Mr. Obama was sworn-in on the day that we celebrate the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., made the moment that much more special.
Here now are the sights and sounds of the very busy and incredible day!
What an incredible time to be alive! To be able to witness all of this as it plays out in real time right before our very eye!?! Wow.
The truth is, I've probably watched more cable news this past weekend (from Sat to Mon) than I've watched the past 12 months. I simply don't watch a lot of television.
However, much like the President, I took time to take in the moment with a sincere Appreciation for its historical Value (present and future) and the realization that as *We* move Forward towards a brighter future, "We, The People" will never see THIS moment again.
