Benghazi Witch-hunt Against Hillary
Is Partisan
Surprise, surprise. Several top congressional Republicans are admitting that the years-long Benghazi investigation into Hillary Clinton is a political stunt, staged to derail her run to become the first female President of the United States.
Politics
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will appear tomorrow before the congressional Select Committee, to discuss the September 11, 2012 Benghazi terror attacks that killed 4 Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. Although the focus of the committee’s work was originally on the Benghazi attack, it has since morphed into the politically charged issue of Mrs. Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.
In an odd admission on Fox News, Republican Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California, who recently withdrew his name to become Speaker of the House, had this to say about the investigation:
“Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers Friday? What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she’s untrustable. But no one would have known any of that had happened had we not fought.”
Yes, McCarthy admitted on national television that the GOP-led Benghazi probe is a politically motivated mission aimed at Hillary Clinton’s presidential run. Interestingly, he was not alone in his admission.
Rep. Richard Hanna of New York was next to cough up the truth. “This may not be politically correct, but I think that there was a big part of this investigation that was designed to go after people and an individual, Hillary Clinton,” Hanna said.
Surprised? Don’t be. The investigation was exposed as blatantly partisan and loose-lipped Republicans have been unable to maintain the premise that it’s all fair and above-board. Now, a former GOP investigator has come forward with a potential bombshell against Republicans.
Maj. Bradley Podliska, an intelligence officer in the Air Force Reserve, spent 10 months as an investigator for the Republican-led panel. “This has become a partisan investigation,” Podliska said after realizing he was hired to partake in a politically motivated witch-hunt.
Podliska was fired in June for resisting pressure to focus his efforts on Clinton.
“I was fired for trying to conduct an objective, nonpartisan, thorough investigation,” Podliska said. Now, he is planning to file a lawsuit against the committee over the firing.
Republicans attempted to discredit Podliska’s claims. “We are confident that the facts and evidence give no support to the wild imagination fueling these and any future allegations, and the committee will vigorously defend itself against such allegations,” a committee spokesman said.
However, Podliska did not let up and insisted his motivation to come forward had nothing to do with Clinton’s candidacy.
“I do not support Hillary Clinton for president,” the libertarian-leaning Republican Podliska said. “I am going to vote for the Republican nominee in 2016.”
He added he decided to speak out because the families of the Benghazi victims deserve it.
“I knew that we needed to get the truth to the victims’ families. And the victims’ families, they deserve the truth — whether or not Hillary Clinton was involved, whether or not other individuals were involved,” he said. “The victims’ families are not going to get the truth, and that’s the most unfortunate thing about this.”

In light of Podliska’s comments and Republican admissions of political trickery, calls to shut down the partisan committee have mounted. Critics are arguing that after 3 separate investigations from the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, the House Select Committee on Intelligence, and the Senate Select Committee, the investigation has been more than thorough. Although the conclusions of each investigation has cleared Clinton and the State Department of wrongdoing, Republicans still feel the need to press on.
“This committee was set up, as they have admitted, for the purpose of making a partisan political issue out of the deaths of 4 Americans,” an angry Hillary Clinton said on the “Today” show last week. “I would never have done that, and if I were president and there were Republicans or Democrats thinking about that, I would have done everything to shut it down.”
Recognizing he has lost control and almost all credibility in advance of Hillary Clinton’s testimony, Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, chairman of the House Benghazi select committee, told his Republicans colleagues to “shut up” and to stop revealing so much information. However, it’s an admonishment that may be too little, too late.
Let’s face it: due to the biased and partisan nature of the supposedly fair panel, the House Select Committee investigation into Benghazi is dead in the water. Democrats will dismiss it entirely, Hillary Clinton will present her testimony with contempt and in the end, the media and the general public will disregard the committee’s claims as a boatload of BS.
So much for partisan tomfoolery!
Couldn't have summarized this BS any better myself DJ.
As I've said many times, if those fools weren't so dangerous they're foolishness would be comedy gold.
Instead we must continue to suffer them and the hateful little games they play…smh.
And the world looks on……
