Biden 2024: Is It Missing Something?
On Tuesday morning, Biden 2024 became a reality when President Joe Biden officially announced his plans to run for reelection.
Politics :
Using a video montage that began with images of the Trump/MAGA mob storming the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, Mr. Biden said that the “fight for our democracy” has “been the work of my first term” but is incomplete. He also pitched himself as the best chance to (once again) defeat Donald Trump.
“Around the country, MAGA extremists are lining up to take on those bedrock freedoms,” the president said of Donald Trump and his sycophants. “Cutting Social Security that you’ve paid for your entire life while cutting taxes for the very wealthy. Dictating what health care decisions women can make, banning books and telling people who they can love. All while making it more difficult for you to be able to vote.”
“When I ran for president 4 years ago, I said we were in a battle for the soul of America. And we still are,” the 80-year-old president and candidate added.
The video announcing Biden 2024 displayed photos of the president fighting on behalf of the American people and ended with the words “Let’s finish the job.” It then directed supporters to joebiden.com — the official website of Biden 2024.
However, sharp-eyed viewers were left asking themselves “What’s wrong with this picture” after noticing that Vice-President Kamala Harris was not prominently featured by his side in the video announcement.
Yes, photos of here were shown. However, she was not presented as an active and legitimate “partner” in the reelection — particularly considering that the reelection website is named joebiden.com.
The strange exclusion of Ms. Harris doesn’t appear to be accidental and suggests that perhaps there’s more to this than meets the eye.
Will President Biden keep Kamala Harris as his vice-presidential candidate and as his partner should he win in 2024? Will Mr. Biden keep Ms. Harris only through the election (for appearance’s sake), replace her with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg or Gov. Gavin Newsom of California once he’s safely into his 2nd term, then resign due to his advanced age (or, sadly, pass away) — effectively allowing his new VP pick to ascend to the presidency? Or, does this video correctly depict that the days of Kamala Harris on the Biden ticket are numbered and that we’ll see her dismissed sooner than later?

Joe Biden and Dem leadership are walking a real tightrope here. They had better be sure and darn sure that it’s worth the risk of possibly losing his/their largest group of base voters..Black women..if indeed Biden has decided someone else should be his VP pick this go round.
If choosing Kamala Harris as his VP was hard in the first place, dumping her may be even harder. But we’ll have to wait and see what he’s actually going to do.
