Among Barr’s misses:

►He dismissed Mueller’s letter to him as “a bit snitty.”

►He said last month that any dissatisfaction about the Mueller report rollout by Mueller team members was due only to their desire to have more of the report publicly released. But that did not comport with the broad concerns Mueller raised in his letter to Barr, as Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vermont, pointed out: “Mr. Barr, I feel that your answer was purposely misleading, and I think others do, too.”

►He claimed it was not obstruction for the president to order former White House counsel Don McGahn to fire Mueller and then tell McGahn to lie about the order.

►He insisted that Trump’s public comments urging witnesses to stay strong and not flip do not constitute obstruction. I, and most prosecutors I worked with, would disagree.

►He said he couldn’t think of a way to test the Office of Legal Counsel’s opinion that a sitting president cannot be indicted. When asked, he replied, “None that comes to mind.” I have a suggestion: The president gets indicted by one of the state or federal agencies investigating him and he challenges the indictment in court, based on the OLC opinion. The courts will rule, and then we will know.

Dems know he is not going to resign just because they said it. I think all this is a trap that is being set. They won’t look like paper tigers. They are going to ride all this into the election. Then soon as Trump is out of office they are going to indict him his kids and probably Barr too.

The whole thing was despicable. Barr sat up there and lied right to everybodies face. But I believe all this is going to come back to haunt him and Trump. Mark my words.

When Barr leaves it’ll be because he’s ready to leave OR because Trump is done with him and ready for him to leave.

The Dems had better be careful not to make themselves look like paper tigers.

I’m not sure what Senate Dems expected from Barr(?) But they should have expected him to present as a “hostile” witness (if you will)….and apparently that’s exactly how he behaved.

Re: Mueller’s letter to Barr “admonishing him for completely misrepresenting the findings of the nearly 2-year long investigation”

Mueller spent 2 yrs and at least $25 million dollars investigating and indicting peons associated with Trump while basically choosing NOT to go after Trump out of respect for the office of the presidency. Mueller also chose to extend that same *exempt from charges* privilege to Trump’s 3 adult children and also Kushner.

Then Mueller folded up shop, handed in his report and went home.

Trump and his sycophants..especially Barr and Faux News…had about 19 days to push whatever “exonerated” narrative they wanted to concerning the conclusions of Mueller’s report.

Personally, I think Mueller should just go somewhere, sit down and hush.
