Black Friday 2024 Shopping Tips
Are you ready for the Top 5 shopping tips for Black Friday 2024?
Current Events
Once upon a time, Black Friday meant waking up at the crack of dawn on the day after Thanksgiving to line up outside your favorite store just to grab a shopping bargain. Well, thanks to modern technology, the days of pushing and shoving and fighting over a heavily reduced electronic at 6am are no more. Still, there are savings to be had.
So, check out our Black Friday 2024 shopping tips and learn how to step into this holiday shopping season as a winner.
.
BLACK FRIDAY/CYBER MONDAY
Traditionally, the official start of the holiday shopping season begins with Black Friday in-person shopping deals and Cyber Monday online shopping deals. Nowadays, the 2 events have pretty much merged into one. This means that it’s no longer necessary to be the first shopper at your favorite store on Thanksgiving Friday. In fact, most major shops and stores no longer open on Thanksgiving night or early Friday morning (as they’ve done in the past) in the interest of safety.
So, enjoy time with your family on Thanksgiving and sleep in late on Friday morning. In fact, avoid the stores and crowds altogether on Black Friday. There are better and safer ways to grab a bargain in 2024.
.
KEEP IT ONLINE
Amazon, Best Buy, Apple, and all major merchants offer their sales online. More importantly, these sales won’t be limited strictly to Black Friday but will run for several days.
So, skip the stores and do all of your shopping online this year. Not only will you avoid any potential crowds, but you can even have your items shipped directly to your family and friends — all from the convenience of home.
.
EMAIL COUPONS/SPECIALS
If you haven’t already done so, sign up now for email alerts and coupons or newsletters from your favorite merchants. They will be actively sending out information regarding sales and discounts to anyone who wants it.
.
TAKE YOUR TIME
Unlike in previous years, Black Friday 2024 is not about speed but rather about savings. This means there’s no need to rush to buy items you may not really want or need.
Take your time, look around, and compare prices and availability — all while online. Then make your purchases only once you feel comfortable you’ve found the right item at the right price.
.
GO SMALL OR GO HOME
In light of the economy, many people simply don’t have the disposable income they’ve had in previous years to go all out with holiday gifts. With that said, this year would be the perfect opportunity to “Go Small” with your shopping ideas.
Instead of making major gift purchases for your family and friends, why not give a $10 or $20 gift card instead? Cash can go a long way toward paying a past-due bill for a gift recipient and may be much more valuable than a pair of socks or a scarf. A bottle of wine, a favorite adult beverage, or a box of cookies or sweets are all valid gifts to give as well. Or, instead of spending cash on a gift, why not be creative and make something with your own hands?
Look online and you’ll find a bevy of gift ideas you can make this year, from artistic projects to delectable baked goods. Remember, a gift is not about the price tag but rather the thought behind it.
