You got that right BD. No doubt about it.

Most of my family members are not into guns. But I come from a hunting state. In fact PA is ranked in the Top 10 of “Most Hunter-Friendly States” in the U.S.” And my favorite grandfather (my maternal granddad) was a small-game hunter. But he kept his hunting rifle well hidden, out of sight and securely locked up.

Personally, I’ve been afraid of guns all my life thanks to my mom who was absolutely terrified of guns. She definitely did not allow any gun anywhere in our home…NOT with the overly rambunctious little brother I had. NO.

And honestly, the racial make-up of the group that’s carrying doesn’t matter to me. I don’t want anything to do with any of those groups. Period. Full Stop. They scare me to death.

(Side note): A few months ago one of young adult nieces informed me that she was seriously thinking about signing up for basic handgun shooting lessons because she’s concerned about being able to protect herself. She hasn’t bought a gun yet because she’s still not quite sure she wants a gun. I haven’t tried to persuade her one way or the other.
