Are Black pilots qualified to do their jobs and fly high-tech airplanes?

That’s a question far-right activist, Trump/MAGA sycophant, and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk said he asks himself whenever he boards a plane and sees an African-American captain running the show.
“I’m sorry. If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, ‘Boy, I hope he’s qualified,’” Kirk said during a recent podcast of his show. His words only parroted the current right-wing narrative that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies at major airlines and manufacturers which have prompted the hiring of Black pilots have somehow made the skies unsafe.
Kirk’s producer, Blake Neff, also chimed in and attributed Kirk’s comments to left-wing politics, saying it was the “reality the left has created.”

Of course, Kirk never addressed (for example) legacy programs that admit White students to Ivy League colleges, medical schools, and other institutions solely based on their parents’ alumni status and donations (not actual qualifications). He didn’t question the qualifications of White doctors or other professionals who made it into college via connections. No. He directed his entire tirade toward Blacks and, more specifically, Black pilots.
Interestingly, this is the same man who once said he wouldn’t want a Black, lesbian surgeon because he doesn’t trust them.
Well, it didn’t take long for social media to respond with a quickness — and a vengeance.
“I’m a black pilot, I am qualified and Charlie Kirk is a racist!” Alex Cole said on X/Twitter.
“As a black pilot myself, I’ve always been the most qualified in the room but because of melanin, I’m not regarded as a mid or senior-level candidate. So for your information @charliekirk11 we are the most qualified,” tweeted Dushane Trill.

Not surprisingly, Kirk is not the only White, MAGA man with similar sentiments.
Former Saturday Night Live regular Rob Schneider (another MAGA Maggot) wrote to United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby to complain about Black pilots.
“I regret to inform you that I will no longer allow my family to fly on your airline as you have clearly placed ‘diversity’ of pilot hiring above safety of passengers and crew,” Schneider said.
His words echoed those of billionaire Elon Musk, who said in January he believes “people will die” due to diversity programs that permit Black pilots to captain jets.

Let’s be honest, everything “Black” scares most White racists, especially when it comes to Successful and Qualified Black men, in any high level position. Most white racists are extremely Fearful and even more insecure.
