Blanket Pardons Could Be Biden’s Legacy

Spread The Love

In anticipation of threats from the incoming administration, President Biden is considering blanket pardons for various politicians from both political parties.

Politics :
After 2 impeachments and multiple court cases against him for myriad crimes, DT has vowed to exact revenge against a so-called “enemies list” of those who sought to bring him down. More specifically, he has threatened to use the Justice Dept. as his personal revenge tool to make life miserable and/or jail former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff, former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, and a host of others.

Now, Mr. Biden is considering ways to use the power of the presidency to knee-cap any future revenge threats or moves to prosecute those who were merely doing their jobs to stop criminal activity.

According to The New York Times, the idea the president has discussed with his staff is to pre-emptively extend executive clemency (or blanket pardons) to a list of current and former government officials for any possible crimes over several years, effectively short-circuiting DT’s promise of reprisals.

Blanket Pardons

Although White House officials don’t believe the potential recipients have committed any crimes, they have grown increasingly concerned that DT’s selections for top Justice Department positions indicate his intention to follow through with repeated plans to seek revenge. Even if potential investigations don’t result in charges, Mr. Biden is aware a veritable witch-hunt against political leaders could drag on for months or years, costing those involved hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees while crippling their career aspirations.

The discussion of blanket pardons comes on the heels of the pardon President Biden issued to his son, Hunter, recently. For now, those discussions appear to have only occurred among senior staff members. However, with only weeks to go in his presidency, Mr. Biden is considering several options to seal his legacy, including blanket pardons, student debt relief, and more.

I heard that Trump plans to pardon the Jan 6 convicts and other related criminals.

And now Biden may be considering granting his own list of pardons!?!

Okay, I understand why Biden may be considering doing that. But man, what a 3 ring banana republic America is on the way to quickly becoming!

If Biden does this it will be a good idea. But I know he is mad at Nancy Pelosi for pushing him out. I hope he does it anyway so Trump is stopped
