When Donald Trump fired National Security Advisor John Bolton and kicked him out of The White House in September, little did he know that Bolton might soon get the last laugh on him.

According to The New York Times, lawyers for the noted conservative hawk are currently in talks for Bolton to testify against Trump in the Democratically-led House impeachment inquiry. This could be critical since Bolton is said to “know where all the bodies are buried” regarding Trump and his nefarious actions. His testimony directly on the heels of former US Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor from last week could serve as the final nail in the impeachment coffin of Donald Trump and he would become the highest-ranking official yet to cooperate with the probe.
Here is a breakdown of just how major Bolton’s testimony could damage ‘The Donald’:
- Former Trump Russia adviser Fiona Hill informed Democratic lawmakers last week that she saw egregious “wrongdoing” in American foreign policy and that it was John Bolton who encouraged her to report her concerns to the National Security Council’s attorney.
- Hill told Democrats about a rogue operation carried out by US Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland, and White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney — an operation Bolton compared to a “drug deal.”
- Additionally, Hill testified that Bolton referred to Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani (who was working to dig up dirt on the Bidens) as a “hand grenade,” who was “going to blow everybody up.”
If all that isn’t enough, Bill Taylor told Congress last week that the former NSA chief expressed direct concern to him about the July call between Trump and Ukranian president Zelensky — a clue as to why Trump and his former NSA man may have fallen out of favor.
Donald Trump said he fired John Bolton last month because he “strongly disagreed” with many of Bolton’s suggestions. However, Bolton insists he was not fired but, in fact, resigned.
