Border Recording: A Cacophony Of Children’s Cries

Spread The Love

If you haven’t already heard it, take a listen to the chilling and heartbreaking recording below of the innocent border children begging and crying for their parents.

The audio was recorded last week inside a US Customs and Border Protection detention facility by an anonymous person and published Monday by the investigative nonprofit ProPublica.

Horrific cries of “Mami” and “Papá” are heard over a cacophony of wails and sobs. At one point, a border patrol agent mockingly calls the gut-wrenching cries an “orchestra,” adding “all we need now is a conductor.”

Border

In light of the continued practice of separating children from their families at the border, at least 2/3rds of Americans have now turned their ire onto Donald Trump for allowing the policy. According to the new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, only 28% of Americans believe tearing unwanted immigrant families apart is effective.

Sticking with his motto that “The buck stops anywhere else but here,” Donald Trump continued on Monday to deflect blame away from himself for parents and children being ripped apart at the border.

“The United States will not be a migrant camp and it will not be a refugee holding facility,” a defiant Donald Trump said on Monday. “You take a look at the death and destruction that’s been caused by people coming into this country, without going through a process. Republicans want safety and we want security for our country. If the Democrats would sit down, instead of obstructing, we could have something done very quickly.”

However, just as he was pretending his hands were clean, his own Department of Homeland Security Secretary was defending Trump and reiterated the administration’s belief in a “zero tolerance policy.”

“We have to do our job. We will not apologize for doing our job,” Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said. “This administration has a simple message — If you cross the border illegally, we will prosecute you.”

Amidst the contradictions and finger-pointing, CNN’s Anderson Cooper took to the airwaves to examine how the Trump administration can claim the US is about compassion, yet promote a practice of taking undocumented immigrant children from their families and putting them in government facilities on US borders.

Seeing the tide quickly turning against Trump and, by association, the GOP, Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, the second-ranked Republican in the US Senate, announced on Tuesday that a small group of senators are working on legislation to address the child separation issue, with the possibility of having something ready as early as Tuesday and a vote on it as soon as this week.

Despite what he says, Donald Trump is not interested in a solution.  Putting unwanted immigrants and their children behind bars IS his solution!

The audio recording and the videos are heart-wrenching for me. In fact, i could only stand to listen to the audio recording one time. That’s it. I can’t take listening to the desperate cries of children.

But I am reminded that this wicked act reflects the hearts and minds those Americans who want Trump to do this. They are 35-40% of the voting electorate, predominantly White and believe this will serve as a “deterrent” to black and brown immigrants coming into this country.

I’m also reminded that the creature currently occupying the White House is literally a 2-legged, “living black hole.”

I pray that Trump, Sessions and all others of that Klan soon learn that their cold, craven and callous efforts Failed.

“Hundreds of members at Sessions’s church write formal complaint over immigration policy” More than 600 members of the United Methodist Church Monday condemning Attorney General Jeff Sessions for the Trump administration’s policy of separating migrant parents and children at the U.S. border. In the letter, the group of churchgoers, including clergy and church leadership, accuse Sessions of child abuse, immorality, racial discrimination and dissemination of doctrines contrary to the standards of the doctrine of the United Methodist Church. They note in the letter that Sessions is a member of Ashland Place United Methodist Church, in Mobile, Ala. “While other individuals and areas of the federal government are implicated in each of these examples, Mr. Sessions – as a long-term United Methodist in a tremendously powerful, public position – is particularly accountable to us, his church,” the letter reads. “He is ours, and we are his. As his denomination, we have… Read more »

Alan Jacobs, an Evangelical, nails the issue: “The whole of the Law” Excerpt: But when Obama was president the relevant biblical passage wasn’t Romans 13:1, it was Acts 5:29. The goalposts have moved — and when there’s a another Democratic president and/or Congress, they’ll move again. Conservative Christians would never have countenanced electing a president who has been divorced — until Reagan came along. When Bill Clinton was president, character in the occupant of the Oval Office was everything; now it’s nothing, or, really, less than nothing. The lesson to be drawn here is this: the great majority of Christians in America who call themselves evangelical are simply not formed by Christian teaching or the Christian scriptures. They are, rather, formed by the media they consume — or, more precisely, by the media that consume them. The Bible is just too difficult, and when it’s not difficult it is terrifying.… Read more »

Jacobs goes on to say that it all turns on the meaning of the word “reasonable.”

How can it ever be reasonable to tear a child from his mother’s arms for the crime of having crossed the US-Mexico border illegally? Detain these families and deport them back home — fine. But do not violate the family bond. Those children are not to blame for their parents’ decision. Why must they suffer?

This is a vicious and inhumane policy, and it’s repulsive that Christians in this administration are defending it on biblical grounds. The Trump White House, Fox News, and conservative talk radio are not any kind of valid Christian magisterium. […] – R. Dreher, “Christians, Cruelty, Children & The Law”

This was real hard to listen to. Then looking at the drawing of the statue of liberty basically crying said it all. Like Truth said these children had nothing to do with their parents decision but they are still being punished. It makes me sad to even think about how they have to be feeling right about now. I can not even imagine what I would have felt like if somebody took me from my parents when I was around five years old. This has to stop.

Predictably THE WORLD is watching this American-created tragedy play out in living color. If there is one thing I give Trump credit for it is this – Trump has RIPPED the covers off of mythical America and revealed the “Real” America to Americans and to the world. And THAT America brings tears to the eyes of Lady Liberty. No doubt, many if not most of these children are already experiencing some degree of psychological and/or emotional trauma that may very well affect their lives for the rest of their lives i.e., Major depression and Anxiety. “Foreign media spotlight U.S. family separations” The world is watching as the United States grapples with family separations near its southern border, according to foreign media covering the controversial Trump administration actions. Across the world, outlets have highlighted backlash against President Trump for the “zero tolerance” practice of prosecuting everyone who crosses the border illegally.… Read more »

(CNN)Logic suggests that the White House, under crushing political pressure, would be forced to back down on its hardline immigration policy amid outrage over searing depictions of kids separated from their parents at the southern border. But while the swirling political crisis over the “zero tolerance” approach to undocumented migrants might convince a conventional White House to seek a way out, this administration is so far digging in. It is sticking to a strategy of falsely blaming Democrats and past administrations for a practice that it decided to adopt and could change anytime it wanted to. “The United States will not be a migrant camp and it will not be a refugee holding facility,” President Donald Trump declared on Monday. A climbdown on this issue would represent more than a huge embarrassment for the President. It would undermine his political image and philosophy and require him to admit he’s wrong… Read more »

“He would risk alienating base voters who prize his strongman image on one issue above all…” – CNN

Now keep in mind, by now ALL Americans know the truth about the FAKE “strongman” in the White House. He is in fact a 5Xs draft-dodging COWARD…and his voters are just fine with that. He is, after all, a reflection of THEM. So they can Spare Me any need for Trump to keep up his FAKE “image.”

(CNN)The most telling statement of the ongoing border crisis involving the separation of families came Monday night from Ohio Republican Rep. Steve Stivers. “As a father, I know firsthand that there is nothing more important than family, and I understand why kids need to be with their parents,” Stivers wrote on Facebook. “That’s why I have publicly come out against separating children from their parents at the border. I am writing a letter to understand the current policies and to ask the Administration to stop needlessly separating children from their parents. If the policy is not changed, I will support other means to stop unnecessary separation of children from their parents.” Why is Stivers’ opposition to the Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance” policy toward families attempting to cross the border illegally so important? Because Stivers is the head of the National Republican Congressional Committee, the campaign arm for House Republicans. In that… Read more »
