The MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston has just announced that it has found a way to drastically reduce deaths from 8 forms of cancer, which would effectively end the thought of cancer as a death sentence.
Beginning in February of 2013, MD Anderson will launch a program to target various forms of cancer, including acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome, the same form of cancer diagnosed in “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts.
Other cancers in the program include chronic lymphocytic leukemia, melanoma, lung cancer, prostate cancer, and triple-negative breast and ovarian cancers.
Scientists are calling this news as important as when President John F. Kennedy announced that the U.S. would send a man to the moon.
