Brett Kavanaugh, Ayanna Pressley Top This Week’s News
Top news this week we didn’t get to cover includes Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and rising political star Ayanna Pressley.
THE BAD
Following his first day of congressional hearings to become the next Supreme Court Justice, Judge Kavanaugh was approached with an outstretched hand by Fred Guttenberg of Florida. Just as he was about to return the handshake, the judge was caught off guard by what he heard next:
“I’m the father of Jaime Guttenberg, who was murdered in Parkland,” the man said, prompting Kavanaugh to turn his back and walked away.

Re: Judge Kavanaugh
Yes indeed DJ. As they say “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Kavanaugh’s rebuffing the outstretched hand of a grieving father speaks volumes about the man and it AIN’T good. I suspect that most Americans who’ve seen that picture and/or video probably agree with me.
Frankly, if recent polling is remotely accurate then Kavanaugh is “The Most Unpopular Supreme Court Nominee in Decades.”
“Polls continue to show that, of those paying attention, few Americans are supportive of Kavanaugh’s nomination. In the week or so after President Donald Trump nominated Kavanaugh to fill Kennedy’s seat in July, polls from Fox News to Gallup to Pew showed that fewer than 40 percent of respondents thought he should be confirmed.” -Mother Jones
