Former Vice President Joe Biden has an 18-point lead over his Democratic presidential primary opponents in South Carolina, according to a poll released Wednesday.

Biden has 35 percent support in the Clemson University poll released just days ahead of Saturday’s South Carolina primary.

I think you’re probably right BD.

IF Biden is able to pull out a solid win in South Carolina it could breathe new life into his campaign and hopefully boost his chances to rack up some solid wins on Super Tuesday. Which would mean that Yes, he’s back in this thing.

Let’s see what happens in South Carolina.

That endorsement Biden got from Clyborn could be important. If he can win South Carolina like he said he would he is back in this thing.

Biden picked up a key endorsement the morning after the debate from House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn (D-S.C.), a kingmaker in Palmetto State politics. The debate came ahead of a key primary this weekend in South Carolina and a rapid acceleration in the race for the nomination next week, on Super Tuesday, when 14 states and two other jurisdictions hold nominating contests. Not sure endorsements actually matter in the big picture anymore(?)

But Biden’s got Jim Clyburn’s support. That could mean something…at least in South Carolina anyway.

But Bloomberg’s overall performance showed Again why I don’t think he’s going to be able to buy the nomination.

Elizabeth Warren is, imo, beginning to come across as desperate and grasping at straws for a primary win. If she has a poor showing in South Carolina I don’t think that will bode well for her chances of getting a big enough win on Super Tuesday. But we shall see.

I think, at this point, the other candidates, including Klobuchar, are just zombie candidates.
