BUS GRANNY NEAR MILLIONAIRE
Apparently, being bullied has its rewards.
Remember the 68-year-old grandmother who was verbally bullied by a school bus full of 7th graders? It was a sad tale that had a happy ending.
Southwest Airlines has awarded her and 9 of her friends an all expense paid, 3 night vacation to Disneyland. But if that wasn’t enough, anonymous donors feeling compassion for the bus monitor donated a half a million dollars to her via the Internet. WOW!
The videotape of the malicious remarks made to Karen Klein went viral on the Internet almost instantly. Although Klein tried to ignore the childish verbal lashing, the most hurtful comment came when one boy told her that her family hates her so much they would probably kill themselves. Klein’s son had actually committed suicide and the words moved her to tears.
Some of the boys who taunted her have since come forward to apologize. “I want them to make sure that they never do this again to anybody,” Klein said in a recent interview.
But with 500,000 fresh new dollar bills in her bank account, along with a totally free vacation whenever she wants, Klein’s tears have certainly dried and she is laughing all the way to the bank.
