Buttigieg Or Bloomberg Or Biden For President?
With the Nevada Caucus happening this weekend, the South Carolina Primary next week and the all-important Super Tuesday just around the corner, it’s beginning to look like Buttigieg or Bloomberg or Biden for president.
Politics
Although Sen. Bernie Sanders came in 2nd in Iowa and won the New Hampshire primary (as expected), his strong showing in 2 small (and predominately white) states is already being predicted as a lead that won’t last. Additionally, online bullying tactics by the so-called “Bernie Bros” against anyone who opposes Sanders hasn’t helped his cause of late. Sen. Elizabeth Warren is slipping rapidly and Sen. Amy Klobuchar will soon fade fast. So, that leaves Buttigieg or Bloomberg or Biden as the potential candidates who can win the nomination and go on to face Donald Trump.
Let’s take a look at each of them:
PETE BUTTIGIEG
He’s an Ivy League graduate, a Rhodes Scholar, a military war vet, and perhaps the smartest person among all the Democratic candidates. However, he also happens to be gay and married to a man — and the anti-gay sentiments have already begun rolling in.
.
Following Buttigieg’s apparent victory in Iowa, hate group leader Bryan Fischer said the former Indiana mayor’s “sexual conduct” makes him a bad “role model for America’s children.”
Then, after Buttigieg finished 2nd in New Hampshire, bigoted GOP mouthpiece and newly awarded Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Rush Limbaugh questioned how parents will be able to explain it to their children when they see Buttigieg kiss his ‘husband’ on stage after a debate against “Mr. Man Donald Trump.”
In a column published last week by influential Christian site Charisma News, preacher and author Bert Farias used the Bible to condemn Buttigieg and said he is in fact “deserving of death.”
“In the name of progressivism we now have a male presidential candidate who has a husband whom he publicly introduces and even kisses without shame, while millions of Americans applaud and approve,” Farias wrote. “In fact, when those who practice such things that are ‘deserving of death’ also approve of others who practice them (Rom. 1:32), it is one of God’s final signs of His wrath on a society. This is a description of gay activism and constantly pushing for its normalcy and marginalizing those who disapprove. This is present-day America. How far we’ve fallen! When millions of Americans applaud Pete Buttigieg and his ‘husband,’ it is the death rattle of a nation.
“I can’t seem to get the image of the Democratic presidential candidate Pete ‘Petunia’ Buttigieg introducing and kissing his husband Chasten (talk about a name for an alien entity appearing as an angel of light) out of my mind,” Farias continued while also taking aim at former President Barack Obama for lighting up The White House in rainbow colors the night same-sex marriage became law in America.
“Go ahead and call me a homophobic bigot. Truth is truth no matter how many oppose it. A SOBER REMINDER: APPROVING OF HOMOSEXUALITY IS DESERVING OF DEATH,” Farias tweeted. “I release the word of God on holy fire! AMERICA’S DECADENCE AND THE AWFUL FATE OF PERVERTED MEN,” he added before Twitter deleted his account.
Despite his Ivy League education and impressive military service, would Pete Buttigieg be able to overcome what could become a free-for-all of anti-gay sentiment, win the support of Trump supporters in the rust belt and bible belt, and actually beat ‘The Donald’ in November?
MIKE BLOOMBERG
Amidst all the news about Bloomberg’s “Stop And Frisk” policy while mayor of New York City as well as supposed sexist comments he’s made about women over the years, Donald Trump is also taking aim at his former friend.
“Mini Mike Bloomberg is a LOSER who has money but can’t debate and has zero presence, you will see. He reminds me of a tiny version of Jeb ‘Low Energy’ Bush, but Jeb has more political skill and has treated the Black community much better than Mini!” Trump said.

Mike Bloomberg may be short and lacking charisma, but he is a bonafide billionaire who’s willing to spend however much (of his own money) it takes to beat Trump. However, the news that Hillary Clinton could be his running mate was false and only meant to troll Trump.
When asked by Ellen DeGeneres if she would consider being a vice presidential candidate, Mrs. Clinton was clear.
“Well, that’s not going to happen. But no, probably no.”
Should we take Mike seriously, or is the Democrat-turned-Republican-turned-Democrat only using us to buy the presidency?
Keep an eye out for Bloomberg, as he has now qualified to participate in tonight’s Democratic debate in Las Vegas.
JOE BIDEN
Donald Trump spent months digging up dirt on Joe Biden, whom he has long feared as his likely 2020 presidential challenger. However, it could be all for naught as the former vice-president is looking less and less like a sure thing.
On Monday, Biden admitted that he needs to come in at least 2nd place in Nevada then win the South Carolina primary in order to continue.
“They know me. It’s what I come from,” he said of the African American Democratic community in the first-in-the-South primary state and the civil rights movement.
“I will win Pennsylvania, I promise you. I will win Michigan, I promise you. I will win those Midwest states, as well as right now they have me winning in Georgia, Texas, Florida, North Carolina. In terms of the nomination and even the general election only a point behind Trump in, in Texas,” he added.
Although he has a steep mountain to climb, it’s not an impossible one. If Biden can keep the support of African-Americans and Hispanics and call in a boatload of political favors to get his influential friends to publicly back him, he has a legitimate path toward the nomination.
.
Pete Buttigieg, Mike Bloomberg, and Joe Biden each have ‘skeletons’ in the closets which could prevent them from winning the nomination. However, could the addition of Sen. Kamala Harris or former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (2 high-profile black women) be enough to push either of the 3 white male presidential candidates over the top?
Good breakdown DJ.
I think Biden is probably done but I really want to wrong on this because I still believe he’d be the strongest candidate against Trump. He’s got to do really well in Nevada and South Carolina. He’s got to.
However, if Biden fails in Nevada and South Carolina then I think Bloomberg may be the next strongest candidate to have a real shot at winning the Dem nomination and beating Trump. We know he’s got more than enough money and he’s not the least bit afraid to fight back when attacked by Trump.
And if Bloomberg falters then I think it’ll come down to Buttigieg (for me anyway) because Buttigieg isn’t intimidated by Trump (or his minions) and I really do not want Bernie to win. But I will support whoever the candidate is…..even Bernie.
