Cannibal Sandwich In Wisconsin Is A ‘No-Go’
The Cannibal Sandwich is all the rage during the holidays in the State of Wisconsin. Here’s why doctors and health officials are warning Wisconsinites NOT to partake in the deadly delicacy.

The sandwich is a simple concoction. In fact, a little too simple. It’s a fistful of raw ground beef on rye bread garnished with onion and salt and pepper. Yep, you read correctly. RAW ground beef!
Apparently, the sandwich originated in northern Europe and somehow became a Midwestern US tradition. However, that doesn’t make it any less capable of killing those who consume it.
“Time for our annual reminder that there’s one #holiday tradition you need to pass on: raw meat sandwiches, sometimes called Tiger Meat or Cannibal Sandwiches,” the Wisconsin Department of Health wrote on Facebook.
“Many Wisconsin families consider them to be a holiday tradition, but eating them poses a threat for Salmonella, E. coli O157:H7, Campylobacter and Listeria bacteria that can make you sick. (And, no, it doesn’t matter where you buy your beef!),” the statement continued.
If there’s any wonder that people have genuinely lost their collective minds, one need look no further than the willful consumption of a raw ground beef sandwich on rye.
