Car Subscription Service Beats Buying
Say goodbye to the days of buying or leasing a car. Say hello to the latest trend in always having the latest vehicle of your heart’s desire: Car Subscription Service.
Technology
Nowadays, we subscribe to music, smartphones, television streaming services, and more. So, why not cars? That’s the concept behind joining a car subscription service.
Want a roomy sedan during the kids’ school year? OK. How about a sporty convertible for the summer months? No problem. Is a high-flying SUV more your speed? Consider it done. Now, you can have them all — in the same month!
Under the old way, you’d buy a car, keep it for 5 or more years, then try to sell it or trade it in to get a new model. Well, those days are done. Now, you simply sign up for the service via an app on your smartphone, leave a small deposit, pick the car you want from the many displayed on the app, pay a monthly fee ranging from $250 to $3,700 (depending on the vehicle you select), then interchange cars as often as you wish. The subscription company will conduct a check of your driving record and a “soft” credit check (for higher-end vehicles). Soon thereafter, a concierge will deliver the vehicle you’ve selected directly to your door, freshly detailed.
Oh, and license plate fees, regular maintenance, roadside assistance, and even insurance is included!
Currently, you may choose from a variety of subscription services, including Access by BMW, Book by Cadillac, Porsche Passport, Care by Volvo, Canvas (which offers Ford and Lincoln models). Flexdrive, and more. Mercedes-Benz’s Collection service will start in June.
So, why buy a new car every few years when you can get a brand new one as often as you’d like? Check out the video below for more details and start subscribing in just a few short minutes.
THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY!
