CHENEY DISSES POWELL

Spread The Love
Dick Cheney’s icy relationship with Colin Powell was always well known throughout Washington.  But on Sunday, the former VP took a very public swipe at the former Secretary of State, saying he wasn’t even sure if Powell was still a Republican.
`
Appearing on the CBS Sunday talk show FACE THE NATION, Cheney was asked by moderator Bob Schieffer if he would side with Colin Powell or Rush Limbaugh about the future of the GOP (moderate vs. core principles).  Cheney swiftly responded he would definitively side with the brash talk radio host Limbaugh.  “If I had to choose in terms of being a Republican, I’d go with Rush Limbaugh,” he said. “My take on it was Colin had already left the party. I didn’t know he was still a Republican.”  Slightly taken aback, Schieffer asked Cheney if he truly thought Powell was not a Republican, to which Cheney replied:  “I just noted he endorsed the Democratic candidate for President this time, Barack Obama.  I assumed that that is some indication of his loyalty and his interest.”

But not Cheney_smh.So what’s his problem, besides being in a constant state of panic due to a trashed legacy and possible “war crimes” charges (which btw I don't think is likely)…??? Simply put: Cheney, and his ilk, have what my grandparents generation used to refer to as “the CAN'T help its”. In short, Cheney et al., are on a self-destructive course, driven by their own extremisms (hatred, fears, ignorance, arrogance, and paranoia)_and they CAN’T help themselves.
