Investigative reporter and Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh has uncovered a blockbuster regarding former Vice-President Dick Cheney, and it’s a doozie. According to Mr. Hersh, it seems Dick Cheney has apparently been “going rogue” in undermining President Obama and his administration, that he tried to sabotage and poison the Israel/Obama relationship before it ever got started, and that Cheney was behind an illegal international executive assassination ring that reported directly to him while in the White House.

In a piece in the New Yorker magazine, Hersh writes: “Cheney began getting messages from the Israelis about pressure from Obama when he was President-elect. Cheney, who worked closely with the Israeli leadership in the lead-up to the Gaza war, portrayed Obama to the Israelis as a “pro-Palestinian,” who would not support their efforts (and, in private, disparaged Obama, referring to him at one point as someone who would “never make it in the major leagues”).”`
Mr. Hersh also spilled the beans regarding a supposed executive assassination ring which reported directly to Dick Cheney in the White House. In a story in the New York Times Mr. Hersh said he was aware of “…something known as the Joint Special Operations Command, or the JSOC. They reported directly to the Cheney office. They did not report to the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff or to Mr. [Robert] Gates, the secretary of defense. They reported directly to [Cheney]. Congress has no oversight of it.”

“It’s an executive assassination ring essentially, and it’s been going on and on. They’ve been going into countries, not talking to the ambassador or the CIA station chief, and finding people on a list and executing them. That’s been going on in the name of all of us.”

HERSH: “I’ll make it worse. I think he’s put people left. He’s put people back. They call it a stay behind. It’s sort of an intelligence term of art. When you leave a country and, you know, you’ve driven out the, you know, you’ve lost the war. You leave people behind. It’s a stay behind that you can continue to contacts with, to do sabotage, whatever you want to do. Cheney’s left a stay behind. He’s got people in a lot of agencies that still tell him what’s going on. Particularly in defense, obviously. Also in the NSA, there’s still people that talk to him. He still knows what’s going on. Can he still control policy up to a point? Probably up to a point, a minor point. But he’s still there. He’s still a presence”.

Um…I'm thinking that, by now, most Americans wouldn't be surprised by this news IF it turns out to be true(?) BTW: Speaking of other GOP acts of "Madness": I just watched a report _and discussion_on CNN about the Repubs “new” OLD alternative budget proposal. In a nutshell, it sounds like they presented a plan that is:_part Hoover-nomics (Wall Street CRASH!)_part Reaganomics (the “trickle-down”/ Union-busting guy) and G. W. Bushnomics (“I’m the decider and nothing I do has to make sense_ever”). Apparently, that stupid-azz piece of NONsense is so far OFF the charts that McCain told CNN that he’s working on his own alternative budget proposal. PI. TI. FUL.
