CHILD RACISM – PT. 2

Spread The Love

Yesterday we presented the story CHILD RACISM STUDIED, where black and white children were part of a psychological test to determine the biases they’ve picked up regarding race and skin color. Now in Part 2 of our series, we present video reaction from two of the parents of those children you saw in yesterday’s video.  THIS IS A MUST SEE:

  1. Video #1: Obviously, the father's reaction to his duaghter's responses shows his pride (and understandably so) at having his daughter reflect the kind of upbringing she recieves at home. Her parents have taught her well. But I must also note: The last girl interviewed (she's white) in the clip on the INITIAL related post that you featured yesterday (Child Racism Study PT. 1) gave a very similar answer. She hit it out the park and I wish I could hear her parent's response too!Okay back to video #2:I found the child's mother's response to be very telling. She was visibly "upset" but she rejected the notion that she was "upset" and then she went on to make all kinds of excuses for why her daughter responded as she did. Simply put: IMO, the results of this entire "STUDY" only confirms what's been "True" since Adam and Eve gave birth to their FIRST child_whatever a child learns (be it positive, negative, indifferent) "IT" (the primary influence) all begins in the home. The 2nd most dominant influence is the media.

  2. I gotta agree with Truthiz.I saw the rest of this story on CNN and I find it interesting the black parents were'nt surprised at their childrens smart positions on race and skin color. Thats because these parents put a lot of time into teaching their children right from wrong about race. As black families who experience racism, they had to.But the white parents were all shocked and upset at how their kids thought about race. They don't live racism everyday like black families do so they aren't discussing it at home like they should and their children are growing up with misguided opinions. Sad.Lol I like the black father though: "thats my child"

  3. I saw this and WE NEED to do BETTER at TEACHING OUR kids to have self LOVE, PRIDE & RESPECT in themselves and where they came from. The media & society will NEVER undertake this task as it is too dangerous in there eyes to PROMOTE BLACK PRIDE & SELF LOVE in OUR kids. EACH ONE TEACH ONE!
