Heck, it's already that, for the most part, in the Underground music world. In fact, so many "underground" artists offer a lot of incredible music FOR FREE, via the internet, that it's as if I've died and gone to music heaven_lol.And personally, I've alway had the Highest respect for artisit who_in addition to putting out great recorded music_also do LIVE shows providing proof of their level of talent! What corporate cretins have done to the "mainstream" Black music world is, IMO, a sin, a crime, and a disgrace_smh.May their days_and that of the Black talentLESS POSERS they create_be numbered!

You'll be able to buy it but that won't be how artists make their money. Live performance is the way to go. Except the record companies can't figure out a way to get in on the cut. Nobody buys music anymore and it's on the way out. Get used to the live shows

I need to vent a moment about an issue related to the so-called "popularity" of Corporate created Black music artists who, NOT by chance, make up MOST of the “mainstream” Black music industry today.I just read the latest edition (the 4th edition) of Billboard’s annual music Money Makers, ranking the highest music earner$ for 2009 and was quite struck by the Top 40 list. Note: Of the FOUR Black artists who made the list NONE of them ranked in the Top Ten. #1 U2- $108 million PLUS#2 Bruce Springsteen- $57 million PLUS #3 Madonna- $47 million PLUS#4 AC/DC – 43 million PLUS#5 Britney Spears- $38 million PLUS …. #6 Pink- $36 million PLUS#7 Jonas Brothers – $33 million PLUS#8 Coldplay – $27 million PLUS#9 Kenny Chesney – $26 million PLUS#10 Metallica – $25 million PLUSBeyonce (who IMO sold out her talent long ago for quick $$$ via selling sex) ranks # 13. MJ ranks #20. Tine Turner (I have the highest respect for her talent and long career) ranks #29. And Lil Wayne_smh_ranks #30. He was also recently sentenced to PRISON on a felony weapon’s charge. The formula used to determine the ranking comprises variables such as "monies earned from CD and digital sales, publishing royalties and all forms of streaming.” And as noted by Billboard, “Touring is the prime fattener of bank accounts, as evidenced most dramatically in the eye-popping, chart-topping tally of high-end road hog U2.”Simply put: Artists with REAL talent do LIVE tours. Corporate-made Black POSERS ain’t feeling “LIVE” performances so much. Nope. Their job is to possess/promote a certain “look” and fake-azz “attitude” while auto-tune and other voice manipulating machines and instruments used in recording studios mass produce cookie-cutter DISPOSABLE songs.Meanwhile the Black music Underground is filled to the rim with Talented artists of various genres doing LIVE performances every chance they get! "I can't be an underground mixtape artist."PULeeeze! As if Serious music-lovers (like Me) who listen to "underground" music written-produced and sang by some of the most INCREDIBLY talented Independent artists on the planet would waste a second of our life listening to music by Chris Brown even BEFORE the assault incident..??!I suspect what's happening with Brown's so-called "fan-base" speaks to the reality of "fan-base loyalty" for most mainstream "Corporate created" music perfromers. Fan loyalty is "weak" at best_and why wouldn't it be(?) given that "Corporate-created" performers are "a dime-a-dozen and can be found on any street corner."
