Christine Blasey Ford + Stormy Daniels = Sad Trump

Spread The Love

Tuesday just wasn’t a great day in TrumpWorld.  First, excerpts from the Stormy Daniels book proved to be embarrassing for ‘The Donald.’  Then, Christine Blasey Ford doubled-down to halt the Supreme Court confirmation of Trump-pick Brett Kavanaugh.

Current Events
Following years of repeatedly targeting President Barack Obama, Donald Trump has learned the hard way what it feels like to have a bullseye on his back.  Let’s take a look at Donald’s dreary day:

.

Christine Blasey Ford

After accusing Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her as a teenager, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford raised the political stakes and placed Republicans firmly between a rock and a hard place. In a major twist to Kavanaugh’s confirmation, Ford’s attorneys announced Tuesday that their client would gladly testify in a public hearing — but only IF the FBI would first investigate her allegations.

Although the charges from Christine Blasey Ford are serious and likely very valid, Republicans immediately (and perhaps correctly) recognized a political game of chicken at play. Democrats knew about a letter Christine Blasey Ford wrote to Sen. Dianne Feinstein from back in July, yet held it until now as a “Trump card” (pun intended). However, just as Republicans did in playing politics with President Obama’s Supreme Court selection of Merrick Garland, Democrats have seized a moment to return the favor.

Christine Blasey Ford

Now, Republicans have a very difficult choice to make: Allow a FBI investigation to commence at Dr. Ford’s request, which would all but kill the Kavanaugh confirmation; or, ignore Dr. Ford’s testimony deal and force the confirmation full speed ahead, which would make the GOP appear all but tone-deaf to sexual assault — which would almost certainly come back to haunt them in the midterm election.

Either way, it looks as if they’re damned if they do, or damned if they don’t!

.

Stormy Daniels

The new tell-all book from former porn star and Donald Trump mistress Stormy Daniels has leaked — and it is not at all kind or flattering to ‘The Donald.’

Christine Blasey FordIn her book, “Full Disclosure,” Ms. Daniels didn’t mince her words and even included salacious details about ‘The Donald’s’ genitalia.

He has a “smaller than average” penis, she wrote.  “His penis is distinctive in a certain way, and I sometimes think that’s one of the reasons he initially didn’t tweet at me like he does so many women,” Daniels continued. “He knew I could pick his d**k out of a lineup. He knows he has an unusual penis. It has a huge mushroom head. Like a toadstool.”

Daniels went on to describe the first time she met Trump during a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe. She said Trump dispatched bodyguard Keith Schiller to invite her to dinner, however, instead of going to a restaurant they ended up in Trump’s hotel suite.

“Trump came swooping in, wearing black silk pajamas and slippers,” she wrote. “‘What are you doing?'” I yelled. “Go put some f*cking clothes on.”

As he flirted with her throughout the dinner, Daniels said she asked what Mrs. Melania Trump would think of him dining with another woman. “It’s okay,” Trump is said to have replied. “We have separate bedrooms.”

Christine Blasey Ford

After having sex with ‘The Donald,’ Daniels wrote that to this day, she remains grossed out from ever agreeing to the experience.

“It may have been the least impressive sex I’d ever had, but clearly, he didn’t share that opinion,” Daniels said.

Re: Christine Blasey Ford As I said in my response to a related post yesterday I was already feeling conflicted about the timing of Ms. Ford’s allegations against Kavanaugh. But after wrestling with myself, I resolved to let that concern go given all that’s at stake, and her willingness to publicly testify….in addition to the fact I didn’t think Kavanaugh fit to serve on the highest court in the land anyway. But now THIS: “Ford’s attorneys announced Tuesday that their client would gladly testify in a public hearing — but only IF the FBI would first investigate her allegations.” Say What?! Pray tell on what grounds is she making this request? The incident is supposed to have happened 36 yrs ago. There’s no DNA evidence AND the only person she cites as having witnessed the whole thing DENIES it ever happened. So exactly what is going on? Is Ms. Ford… Read more »

A FBI investigation is not uncommon. CNN: As Christine Blasey Ford’s lawyers insist the FBI investigate her claims of sexual assault against Brett Kavanaugh, here is a look back at how the FBI investigation into Anita Hill’s sexual harassment allegations against Clarence Thomas came about. – Clarence Thomas underwent his initial hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee in early September 1991. – Anita Hill says she spoke with the Judiciary Committee in “early September,” and that an FBI investigation was suggested to her on Sept. 20, 1991. – On Sept. 23, 1991, allegations of harassment were brought to the attention of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which immediately informed the White House, according to a statement from then-deputy press secretary Judy Smith. – Upon learning of the allegations, the White House “promptly directed the FBI to conduct a full, thorough and expeditious investigation,” according to the statement. – Three days later,… Read more »

In Anita Hill’s case, the White House “promptly directed the FBI to conduct a full, thorough and expeditious investigation.” The White House had (and has) the authority to do that…NOT Ms. Hill (the accuser). And please note: based on the FBI’s final report of that investigation, Anita Hill’s allegations were deemed “UNfounded.”

By a 2-vote margin (for or against), Clarence Thomas was confirmed and sits on the high court Today.

Ms. Ford is demanding that the FBI conduct a thorough investigation before she testify. Not.Gonna.Happen. And she doesn’t have the authority to make it happen.

She can blow off attending the Senate hearing next week. I don’t think that’s a wise decision at all.

Re: Stormy Daniels

Stormy is trash. Donald is trash. They deserve to be a thorn in each other’s side.

Mr.BD

Two days ago she was ready to testify then yesterday there was some delay. My guess is her story is true but the Dems got to her through her lawyers and now it is going to be a political game. DJ is right the way they treated Obama when they wouldn’t let him nominate somebody because he had less than a year left was some bull crap. So I am not mad if they are getting even on this one. With Trump under investigation he probably shouldn’t be nominating anybody no way.

I absolutely agree. But I hope the Dems aren’t playing a game by using Christine Ford to try to block Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

Pres. Obama and Dem leadership had a chance to put up a real fight for Merrick Garland, Pres. Obama’s pick. But he/they chose not to do that. Instead, he/they came with tepid responses to what was clearly a smack in the face to Pres. Obama, by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell who “declared any appointment by the sitting president to be null and void. He said the next Supreme Court justice should be chosen by the next president — to be elected later {in 2016}.”

GOP senators to Ford: Show up Monday or we vote on Kavanaugh

“She said she wanted to appear but if she changes her mind and refuses to appear, there’s not much we can do,” the number two Republican in the Senate, John Cornyn of Texas, said of the California professor who alleges Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they both were in high school.

“We can’t force her to do that,” Cornyn said. “And so nothing really else would remain of the investigation and background of the judge and we would vote on the nomination.” – ABC News
