Young, Black kids who still deam of going to the college or university of their choice must be willing to work hard and keep those grades up. Yes, being an “A” student really is worth its weight in gold, especially if you’re a student of Color!

There’s still a lot of Scholarships and Fellowships out there worth a lot of money. More than enough to pay for your entire education and then some.

Trust me. I am a Witness…and I was a recipient!

Great topic DJ. These young kids going into debt over a piece of paper is not what it use to be. Especially when you have loans for the rest of your life to pay back. We have to start rethinking college.

Higher education has opened some major doors for me throughout my adult life as a professional.

Attending a college or university has always been expensive, for any generation, especially the “Ivy League” schools. But the cost over the past 25 yrs has gotten so far outta control now that it’s darn near criminal! 🤔

Hmmm. It pains me to say this (because I am definitely a product of “Old school” child-rearing). But given the harsh reality of what it costs to go to college these days versus the average annual salary of most people who graduate from college…(sigh)!

I’m just not quite sure the debt that students take on, in most cases, is worth it anymore(?)

And yet, I still strongly encourage young, Black children to pursue higher education in order to achieve their dreams!
