Oops! While responding to legal claims from the Robert Mueller team, attorneys for former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort accidentally admitted to collusion with Russia.

Oh, say it ain’t so. Proving a level of incompetence not seen since Donald Trump promised Mexico would pay for his border wall then flipped and attempted to get US taxpayers to foot the bill, the Manafort law squad just made a great big boo boo.
Earlier this week, Manafort’s attorneys filed an official response to Mueller’s claims, arguing that Manafort “provided complete and truthful information to the best of his ability.” Too bad for Manafort, but his lawyers inadvertently forgot to properly redact new details about possible collusion between Manafort/the Trump campaign and Russia.
According to the poorly redacted documents, Paul Manafort was allegedly providing private polling data from the Trump campaign to the Russians via Konstantin Kilimnik (a former Manafort associate with ties to Russia). In exchange for this information, Manafort was paid $2.4 million dollars by Russian oligarchs. Hmmm…
Why would the Russians want to know up-to-the-minute data about a presidential candidate in a US election? Additionally, why would this information be worth $2.4 million dollars??
This new information may not be the collusion “smoking gun” we’ve all been waiting for, but it’s certainly a telltale sign of what Special Counsel Robert Mueller knowns and the scent he is following.
