Yes it was alot of hate and negative talk going on but it was also put together poorly. But watching the Democrats you could just tell real producers from Hollywood were behind it because it flowed like a movie. Then with all the BS Trump made after the convention with the Muslim father and all, no wonder Hillary is ahead. Now I agree with Truth that we can not take anything for granted. If we don't vote because we think she's ahead then she will lose. We still have to do our part but as of today things look good for Hillary.

But as polling trends would seem to indicate right now, I am willing to give some credence to the Fox news poll showing Hillary ahead simply because it's FOX news – a cable news network that has spent the past 20 yrs promoting unbridled hatred of Bill and Hillary Clinton, to say nothing of the past 8 years spent hating Pres. Obama.

If there's any chance..any chance at all…that Hillary is actually beating Trump in ANY Fox news poll..!?! Well now THAT is quite telling.

Re: the Dem convention vs the Repub convention

I'm not at all surprised if most people have a more favorable opinion of the Dem convention than the Repub convention.

In short: The Repub convention was (as one reader put it) a veritable "slipshod, doomsday fest" that served up as much, Fear, Hate, ignorance and divisiveness that a person, given to have an appreciation for such toxic mess, could handle. And then some.

In contrast to the Dem convention, as DJ points out, which was a Classy, well thought-out , more unifying, diverse and positive event.

Dems should not become cocky or complacent, however. THAT would be a big mistake. This thing ain't over until it's over…in November.
