D-Day For Donald Trump Is Here!
It’s finally D-Day for Donald Trump. Or, to put it another way, the circus has come to town. So, what should we expect?
Top News Today :
At some unspecified time today, D-Day for Donald Trump will begin with ‘The Donald’ arriving at the courthouse in New York City accompanied by his team of attorneys. He will be led into the court by members of the New York Police Department as well as the US Secret Service and will appear before Judge Juan Manuel Merchan — who Trump has foolishly attacked in the media over the past several days. He will be arraigned, read his rights, fingerprinted, photographed, and will go into the books as the first former president in US history to be formally prosecuted.
A number of rallies and protests in New York City and across the country have been planned in support of Trump. MAGA sycophants have taken to social media with threats of “war” and other violence. Additionally, the FBI and the New York Police Department are investigating a death threat and white powder that was sent to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on Monday. The MAGA taunts could be meaningless and amount to nothing, but officials are taking all threats seriously.
Following his court appearance, Trump is expected to return to Florida where he will deliver remarks in a prime-time press conference. However, many already expect the event to be more about Trump talking and attempting to control the narrative of his arraignment, instead of him actually taking any questions from the media.
Surprisingly, several Trump aides believe D-Day for Donald Trump is the wrong day to go before the media and try to tilt the story in his favor. Because Trump is known to lack a filter when talking publicly off the cuff, aides feel his words on Tuesday could rub the judge the wrong way and eventually be used against him in the current case and others that may soon follow.
Nevertheless, the Trump campaign believes that since it has reportedly raised more than $5 million in donations and logged more than 16,000 volunteer signups since the indictment, Trump’s appearance before his legion of fans is imperative.
According to Trump spokesman Steven Cheung the donations were “key indicators that Americans from all backgrounds are sick and tired of the weaponization of the justice system against President Trump and his supporters.”
The news of D-Day for Donald Trump is an ongoing and developing story that we will cover all week. Stay tuned…
OK WASSUP! discusses the Top News Today:
It’s D-Day for Donald Trump.
I am reminded that today is the 55th anniversary (if you will) of the assassination of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King.
The fact that this particular creature (Trump) is being formally charged in a Court of Law TODAY has a bit more meaning for me.
