It’s over!
After 20 years of marriage and 5 months of separation and multiple attempts at reconciliation, Jenny Sanford, estranged wife of cheating South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, has filed for divorce. Mrs. Sanford wins the award for trying to resuscitate a dying marriage, after the Governor brazenly admitted to having a months long affair with an Argentine journalist — even going AWOL from his state duties to travel and be with the woman — all at taxpayer’s expense. “This came after many unsuccessful efforts at reconciliation, yet I am still dedicated to keeping the process that lies ahead peaceful for our family,” Jenny Sanford said in a statement.
Said the philandering Governor: “While it is not the course I would have hoped for, or would choose, I want to take full responsibility for the moral failure that led us to this tragic point.”
Once again another fall from grace. But he, like Tiger, brought it all on himself. The guy should just leave office and move to Argentina with his girlfriend.
