A DAY OF REMEMBRANCE
Yesterday, a solemn nation paused to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001.
In New York City, President and Mrs. Obama and former President and Mrs. Bush helped dedicate the beautiful new cascading fountain memorial, in the original footprints of buildings 1 and 2 of the former World Trade Center. In Washington, DC, Vice-President Biden and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta led a day of remembrance and the laying of wreaths at the Pentagon. And in Shanksville, PA a moment of silence marked the very moment United Flight #93 crashed into a obscure field 10 years ago to the day.
