‘Dear Vladimir Putin…” McCain Reponds

Russian President Vladimir Putin cast the first stone with a recent Op-Ed piece in the New York Times, criticizing President Obama and the U.S. over the crisis in Syria. Although President Obama chose to take the high road and skip any international name calling, pit bull attack dog and U.S. Sen. John McCain responded to Putin with his own brand of criticism in Russia’s Pravda publication.
“Since my purpose here is to dispel falsehoods used by Russia’s rulers to perpetuate their power and excuse their corruption, let me begin with that untruth,” McCain wrote in the commentary. “I am not anti-Russian. I am pro-Russian, more pro-Russian than the regime that misrules you today.”

“President Putin claims his purpose is to restore Russia to greatness at home and among the nations of the world,” McCain continued. “But by what measure has he restored your greatness?”
“He has made her (Russia) a friend to tyrants and an enemy to the oppressed, and untrusted by nations that seek to build a safer, more peaceful and prosperous world,” McCain added. Ouch!
