But nooooo! Most Americans who vote just aren’t smart enough to do that.

Nonetheless, during Sen. Feinstein’s decades of public service she served her constituents, and her country, well and I do wish her the best!

Btw – I believe she represents a “safe district” for Dems and if so, Dems will mostly likely have no problem retaining that seat. In fact, it’s being reported that at least 3 Dems described as “heavy-hitters” – Adam Schiff, Katie Porter, and Barbara Lee- are “waiting in the wings” to run for that seat.

So we’ll see.

Oh this is sad. Yes, she truly is “slipping.”

There really needs to be an age limit for every person elected to serve in public office, especially for those serving on Capitol Hill. And including those who are appointed to their positions i.e. U.S. Supreme Court Justices.

I also believe in term limits.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) needed to be corrected by a staffer on Tuesday that her office had put out a statement announcing her decision to retire from her Senate seat.

A reporter asked Feinstein, 89, if she had any message for her Senate colleagues after her retirement statement was issued by her office.

Feinstein asked the reporter what he was referring to, and he responded that he meant about her decision to not run for reelection.

“Well, I haven’t made that decision. I haven’t released anything,” she said.

“Senator, we put out your statement,” a staff member for Feinstein quickly cut in.

“You put out the statement?” Feinstein responded. “I should have known they put it out.”
