DID BISHOP LONG’S WIFE LEAVE HIM?

Spread The Love

Did Bishop Eddie Long’s wife Vanessa move out of their house, following a multi-million dollar settlement with the 4 young men who accused Long of inappropriate sexual contact with them while they were minors?  According to several strong sources, yes she did!

Vanessa Long, who is the 2nd wife of the embattled mega-church Bishop, was reportedly so distraught over the accusations and her husband’s eventual financial settlement, that she moved out of their palatial Atlanta area mansion, with thoughts of making it a permanent move.  She has not been seen by her husband’s side at church or in public, which gave the rumor of their split some credibility.

But naturally, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church is doing everything within their power to dispel the rumor and maintain a unified family.

“Recently, some blog entries have surfaced claiming to have anonymous sources stating that New Birth First Lady Elder Vanessa Long has moved out of the house. That claim is completely and absolutely false,” said church spokesman Art Franklin in a statement Tuesday on behalf of New Birth. “Mrs. Long is very much a loving, dedicated and committed wife and mother.”

Incidentally, Rev. Bernice King, who is the daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and was a longtime member and minister alongside Bishop Long at New Birth, recently left the church completely, seemingly due to the scandal.  So, any word of the Bishop’s wife exiting as well did not seem at all far fetched.

As protective and tight lipped as Long’s church is, it’s possible we may never know the truth.

<span>"As protective and tight lipped as Long's church is, it's possible we may never know the truth.'   HAH. Not likely it'll remain a *secret* for long DJ. Not with Black folks in the Atlanta area chompin at the bit to get any piece of info on Long and his related problems. To say nothing of the fact that, IF this story is true(?) Mrs. Long, herself, may want the news to get out. She may be fed-up with *standing by her um…man* and appearing the *fool* by much of the Black community.     Btw: This news is being discussed on WVON, Chicago talk-radio, this morning…that's just how interested Black folks (around the country) are in the story. </span>
