DID GEORGE ZIMMERMAN ACT IN SELF-DEFENSE?

Did George Zimmerman murder Trayvon Martin in self defense?  Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara is trying hard to get the court of public opinion to think so.

We haven’t heard much from George Zimmerman or his attorney for months.  Then yesterday, O’Mara released a digital image of his client he says was taken on the night of the shooting.  The photograph shows Zimmerman with a bloodied and swollen nose, which O’Mara says should prove that Zimmerman acted in self defense.  Really?

Well, hold on there, O’Mara — not so fast! Attorney’s for Trayvon Martin’s family responded last night by reminding the public that no one is disputing that a physical altercation took place on the night of the murder. In fact, Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump said that had Zimmerman simply followed the advice of police and stayed in his vehicle, instead of taking matters into his own hands and hunting the teenager down on foot, Martin would likely still be alive today and Zimmerman would likely not have a photograph of himself with a bloodied nose.  It was Zimmerman’s confrontation with Martin that caused a scuffle, which caused Martin to probably fight for his life once Zimmerman brandished a gun.

What do you think? Why is this image only being presented now? Does this new photograph prove Zimmerman shot in self-defense, or is Zimmerman a murderer for shooting and killing an unarmed teenager who was in a neighborhood Zimmerman didn’t think he belonged in?
