It’s the day of the highly anticipated Harris-Trump debate — and Donald Doubt is at it again.

While Vice President Kamala Harris has been busy holed up in a hotel doing debate prep, ‘Donald Doubt’ Trump has been busy sowing seeds of division to cover his tracks in the event of a November loss. If this sounds to you like an old trick from the Trump playbook, you’d be correct.
In 2020, Trump began laying the groundwork for a potential loss to Joe Biden in the presidential election. He conditioned his MAGA supporters to believe that voting by mail was severely rigged and that Democrats were using hundreds of thousands — if not millions — of undocumented immigrants, dead people, and others to cast fake votes in order to cheat the outcome.
Well, that was then… and, he’s at it again.
Yes, despite letting it accidentally slip last week that he lost the 2020 election “by a whisker,” Donald Doubt is back to telling the Big Lie that he miraculously won and Joe Biden lost. However, he’s added a new twist by claiming that Kamala Harris and the Democrats are preparing to cheat him out of a bonafide win yet again.
According to The New York Times, Trump has vowed that if he is re-elected, he will prosecute anyone he thinks helped deny him a victory — and he’s doing it by already laying the groundwork to claim large-scale voter fraud if he loses.
“WHEN I WIN, those people that CHEATED will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law, which will include long term prison sentences so that this Depravity of Justice does not happen again,” Trump said over the weekend. “Those involved in unscrupulous behavior will be sought out, caught, and prosecuted at levels, unfortunately, never seen before in our Country.”
Next, the Donald Doubt rant took an unexpected turn when Trump went after Facebook founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg.
Back in 2020, Zuckerberg and his wife donated $400 million to nonpartisan groups that helped local election agencies conduct a fair and safe election during the COVID-19 crisis. However, Trump — in his warped way of thinking — falsely concluded that the money was actually an illegal donation to the Biden Campaign and he has had Zuckerberg in the crosshairs ever since.
“We are watching him closely, and if he does anything illegal this time he will spend the rest of his life in prison,” Trump barked.
Oh, but wait. There’s more.
The unhinged Donald Doubt is also attempting to strongarm Republican members of Congress into shutting down the government on September 30th just to force representatives to make it harder to vote.
At the insistence of Trump, House Speaker Mike Johnson will introduce a bill to fund the government for 6 months. Except, there’s a catch. In return, Congress must support a Republican bill called the “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act” or “SAVE Act,” which would require new voters to submit “documentary proof of United States citizenship,” such as a passport or a birth certificate, to register to vote.
According to VOX, the SAVE Act is a solution without a problem, since there is no evidence of a noncitizen voting problem within the US. Instead, this is Trump’s way of planting the seeds of doubt ahead of time so that he has a built-in excuse to claim massive fraud in case he loses in November.
Word to the wise: Instead of worrying about November, Donald Doubt would be better off by worrying about Kamala Harris tonight.
