Have you ever received a parking ticket and wanted to fight it, but you just didn’t know quite how? Well, say hello to DoNotPay.

DoNotPay is a new chatbot creation by Stanford University junior Joshua Browder, which offers everyday citizens free assistance in fighting parking tickets. Using artificial intelligence, DoNotPay asks its clients a series of questions, then pastes the answers into a form letter template. The end result is a pdf that can be saved, emailed, or printed for your defense.
“I think [DoNotPay] shows that the law in terms of legal tech is really broken. I’m so surprised this hasn’t been done,” Browder said. “There’s a huge stagnation in legal technology.”
Browder added that his chatbot has beaten 375,000 tickets and the number is growing.
So far, the service is only available in the U.K. and New York, but more cities are on the way soon.
