Don’t ever attempt to diminish Dr. Jill Biden. Not now. Not ever!

She’s Jill Biden. Mrs. Joe Biden. The former 2nd First Lady and soon-to-be future First Lady. And, she’s Dr. Jill Biden — as in DOCTOR Jill Biden.
According to a recent Op-Ed by Wall Street Journal columnist Joseph Epstein, Dr. Jill Biden is being disingenuous and a bit much by referring to herself with the title “Doctor.” On Friday, Epstein used his column to scold Dr. Jill Biden into dropping her title, which he referred to as “the honorific, which feels fraudulent, even comic.”
“Madame First Lady—Mrs. Biden—Jill—kiddo: a bit of advice on what may seem like a small but I think is a not unimportant matter. Any chance you might drop the ‘Dr.’ before your name? ‘Dr. Jill Biden’ sounds and feels fraudulent, not to say a touch comic,” he wrote. “Your degree is, I believe, an Ed.D., a doctor of education, earned at the University of Delaware through a dissertation with the unpromising title “Student Retention at the Community College Level: Meeting Students’ Needs.” A wise man once said that no one should call himself ‘Dr.’ unless he has delivered a child. Think about it, Dr. Jill, and forthwith drop the doc.”
His words (such as the use of the terms “himself” and “kiddo”) were not only sexist but ignorant and condescending.
Apparently, Epstein is unaware that an earned doctorate in education (or a doctorate in ANY field of higher education) allows permission for the recipient to attach the well-deserved title of “Doctor” to their name– just as it does for a doctor of medicine.
However, his words did not go unnoticed and he was absolutely flamed on social media.

“For eight years, I saw Dr. Jill Biden do what a lot of professional women do—successfully manage more than one responsibility at a time, from her teaching duties to her official obligations in the White House to her roles as a mother, wife, and friend,” former First Lady Michelle Obama wrote on Instagram.
“She will be a terrific role model not just for young girls but for all of us, wearing her accomplishments with grace, good humor, and yes, pride,” Mrs. Obama continued. “I’m thrilled that the world will see what I have come to know—a brilliant woman who has distinguished herself in her profession and with the life she lives every day, always seeking to lift others up, rather than tearing them down.”
However, it was the response from Dr. Biden herself that was both polite and educational all at the same time.

Did a little researching of Joseph Epstein and NOT to my surprise he’s an Old guy (83 soon to be 84 in Jan) with quite a Hater’s history….
