Dumb Sh*t Donald Trump Says
Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is known for a chronic case of “foot-in-mouth” syndrome — AKA “saying dumb things.” Â However, 2 recent comments to spill out of “The Donald’s” mouth are on par for being the dumbest yet.
Politics
DUMB COMMENT #1:
On Sunday during a CBS interview, Trump said the United States should double its efforts and conduct more racial profiling in law enforcement.
“I think profiling is something that we’re going to have to start thinking about as a country,” Trump said when asked whether he supports more profiling of Muslims in America.
“You look at Israel and you look at others, and they do it and they do it successfully,” he said. “If you go to France right now, they’re doing it in France. In fact, in some instances they’re closing down mosques. And you know, I hate the concept of profiling, but we have to start using common sense,” he added.
His 1st dumb comment came after a 2nd dumb comment that even the NRA had to disagree with.
.
DUMB COMMENT #2:
On Friday, Trump told supporters at a rally that he believes nightclub patrons should carry guns, so as to prevent the type of mass shooting that occurred last week in Orlando.
“If we had people, where the bullets were going in the opposite direction, right smack between the eyes of this maniac,” Trump said, gesturing between his eyes. “And this son of a b*tch comes out and starts shooting and one of the people in that room happened to have (a gun) and goes boom. You know what, that would have been a beautiful, beautiful sight, folks.”
Apparently, Trump never considered the consequences of mixing guns with alcohol in a darkened nightclub setting — but the NRA did. In fact, top National Rifle Association officials went public with their dissent, suggesting that Trump had gone too far with this one.
“I don’t think you should have firearms where people are drinking,” Wayne LaPierre, the NRA’s chief executive officer said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” in direct disagreement with the presumptive nominee.
NRA lobbyist Chris Cox joined in the disapproval, saying on ABC’s “This Week”: “No one [except Trump] thinks that people should go into a nightclub drinking and carrying firearms. That defies common sense. It also defies the law. It’s not what we’re talking about here.”
Well, when even the NRA calls your gun ideas dumb, you know you’ve hit rock bottom!
Trump’s dumb comments come amidst the firing of his longtime campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, as well as the resignation of advisor Michael Caputo, who mocked the Lewandowski firing by tweeting “Ding dong, the witch is dead.”
Could there be trouble in Trump’s paradise?
Well, when even the NRA calls your gun ideas dumb, you know you’ve hit rock bottom! […]
Au contraire, DJ…lol. We're talking about Trump. There is ALWAYS an even lower level with that guy!
But the longer his sham of a campaign goes on, the more people are coming to THIS conclusion:
TAC Reader:
I am of the opinion that Trump got to the race to feed his ego and get pr for his TV show. I don’t think he ever expected nor wanted to get this far and now that he has – he is terrified that he might actually become President. […]
Trump is so far out of his depth that it's not funny. He's a fake alpha-dog (and he knows it), who spews endless garbage and doesn't know JACK about much of anything …Except for how to CON people.
Speaking of his CON jobs…
He still refuses to release his tax-returns (whatever could "the Donald" be hiding?). AND apparently his campaign is nearly broke.
"Donald Trump Starts Summer Push With Crippling Money Deficit"
Donald J. Trump enters the general election campaign laboring under the worst financial and organizational disadvantage of any major party nominee in recent history, placing both his candidacy and his party in political peril.
Mr. Trump began June with just $1.3 million in cash on hand, a figure more typical for a campaign for the House of Representatives than the White House. He trailed Hillary Clinton, who raised more than $28 million in May, by more than $41 million, according to reports filed late Monday night with the Federal Election Commission.
He has a staff of around 70 people — compared with nearly 700 for Mrs. Clinton — suggesting only the barest effort toward preparing to contest swing states this fall. And he fired his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, on Monday, after concerns among allies and donors about his ability to run a competitive race. […] NYTimes
Says a lot about the people who support this dangerous fool.
Somebody at work said Trump likes the chase and not the game. He is still acting like he's in the primary. There is no way he can have a million dollars in the bank and think that is good enough to run a campaign when Hillary has 42 million. The way the campaign laws are you can't raise that much money that fast to catch up with her. He really is dumb and dumber.
NY Magazine:
And he paid $35,000 in advertising to a mystery firm called “Draper Sterling,” which might ring a bell for Mad Men fans and which may or may not actually exist. […]
Rod Dreher at TAC:
This is going to be a political catastrophe we will tell our grand-kids we lived to see. […]
TAC Reader:
After the Obama transgender directives a few weeks’ back and the release of Trump’s SCOTUS nominees list, I reluctantly decided that I had to vote for Trump as the lesser of two evils. And I thought, at least Paul Ryan could keep him tethered to reality. And given the tightening poll numbers then, voting might matter.
The last two weeks have made me reconsider all that. The man’s a dangerous fool and would bankrupt the country. No SCOTUS picks are worth that.
Hopefully four years of the Clinton express will knock some sense back into the electorate. [….].
…..and NOW we know where most of his campaign money (what little there is) is going…….
To Trump…Himself. .
"Donald Trump’s Campaign Paid Trump Companies More Than $1 Million In May"
Excerpts:
Donald Trump’s presidential campaign paid more than $1 million last month to companies controlled by the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, according to reports the Trump campaign filed late Monday with the Federal Election Commission.
The figure represents payments for facilities rental, catering, monthly rents and utilities at more than a half-dozen Trump-owned companies and properties. It includes nearly $350,000 that the Trump campaign paid a Trump-owned company, TAG Air, for the use of Trump’s private jets and helicopters.
The most striking expenditure in the new filings was $423,372, paid by the Trump campaign for rentals and catering at Trump’s 126-room Palm Beach, Florida, mansion, Mar-A-Lago, which Trump operates as a private club.
Though the payment was in May, the Mar-A-Lago bill likely covers a number of campaign events Trump has staged there in recent months. A spokeswoman for the Trump campaign did not respond to an email from The Huffington Post inquiring about the expenditures and Mar-A-Lago.
Other Trump-owned recipients of campaign funds include Trump Restaurants, which raked in $125,080 in rent and utilities; Trump Tower Commercial, which charged $72,800 in rent and utilities in the building that houses Trump’s campaign headquarters; the Trump National Golf Club, in Jupiter, Florida, which collected $35,845 for facilities rental and catering; and the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, which billed the campaign for $29,715, for facilities rentals and catering. LOL first of all I like the title, it's very funny. Now as for Trump like Truth said there is no rock bottom for him. If you think he did or said something bad he can get worst. But when the NRA calls your idea crazy that is pretty bad. The racial profiling thing is par for the course with him just to play to all his racist supporters who probably eat that up. I can't wait to see what the history books have to say about the time Donald Trump ran for president and killed the Repub party.
