I know my friend Truth is worried about turn out but I really think this time is going to be different. Everywhere I go and no matter who I talk with everybody is saying they can not wait to vote tomorrow. I think it took Donald Trump getting in there for people to wake up realize their vote makes a difference. I don’t want to count the chickens before they hatch but I think Repubs are in trouble tomorrow. I am looking forward to discussing all this after the election.

If Trump had begun his presidency with good infrastructure programs, middle of the road social programs, and fixes to the ACA he probably would be very, very popular. Instead he went extremely right wing, with the deliberate intent of destroying everything Obama (who mocked him at the annual Press Club Dinner).

Trump has ‘spiked the ball’ repeatedly in the Democrats (and independents who don’t agree with him) faces, even though he won the presidency via the electoral college, with an extremely small vote margin of 77,000 votes spread across 3 states.

The quantity and audaciousness of his lies have been incredible, along with his anti-female misogyny, and fear mongering, which totally poisoned the political well for him across a wide swath of the US population. He is the most unpopular president in modern history. He blames it all on ‘fake news’, which merely holds his lies up against easily proven facts. Which he cannot stand.

We shall see how this plays out tomorrow (Nov 6) for him. I think his strategy won’t play well at all. His deep unpopularity, along with what will probably be illegal activity documented by Mueller, will virtually guarantee 2 years of torture if The Democrats win The House. I will be shocked if he runs for a 2nd term in 2020.

Trump could have been a good president if he governed for all Americans. Instead he deliberately antagonized 60% of Americans to play to 35% of Americans. Because his only mode of governing is confrontation. His incompetence in the ‘art of the deal’ has been exposed.

The die is cast at this point. He cannot become more moderate and work with Democrats because his base will abandon and excoriate him.

Oh well….. Nov 6 will be good political lesson for all, as long as he doesn’t get us into another major war or recession afterward. […]

But I’ll also be watching to see how well Beto O’Rourke does against Cruz.

Honestly, except for possibly Pressley, none of the other 3 candidates aforementioned should be running as strong as they are in their respective “Red” states. And even if they lose I’ll be interested in seeing the margin of each loss.

If the margin of loss for any of them is close then that, IMO, will be a good sign that something positive is happening out here in “real” America.

Yep…and most of those same political pundits, along w/most of America (including Myself) thought Hillary was most likely going to win in 2016. And then election day came and nearly 100 million eligible American voters couldn’t be bothered to vote,

I will say this though – so far “Early voting” this year seems to indicate strong voter participation. But that’s “early voting.” GOTV will tell the real story.

I am cautiously Optimistic about tomorrow’s turnout and which party the majority of voters will support.

Tomorrow’s results will tell Us a lot about ourselves, both as a people and a nation.
