ELECTION DAY!
It’s Election Day in parts of the country today. Among the most significant races are:
ARKANSAS — Senate: Blanche Lincoln (D) seeking re-election. House: 4 seats. Governor: Mike Beebe (D) seeking re-election. (Runoff date: June 8)
KENTUCKY — Senate: Open; Jim Bunning (R) retiring. House: 6 seats.
OREGON — Senate: Ron Wyden (D) seeking re-election. House: 5 seats. Governor: Open; Ted Kulongoski (D) term-limited.
PENNSYLVANIA — Senate: Arlen Specter (D) seeking re-election. House: 19 seats. Governor: Open; Ed Rendell (D) term-limited.
If you’re in one of these states, make sure to get out there, cast your ballot and VOTE!
Voting's over, the results are in and I think the message is clear:"Angry Voters Send Message at Polls" [Tea party favorite Rand Paul wins in Kentucky; party-switching incumbent Specter is ousted. Critz (a Conservative Dem) wins special election to replace the late Rep. John Murtha.Arkansas incumbent Lincoln forced into runoff.]
